Twenty minutes later (I think)

I walk out of my bathroom after what I think is about twenty minutes and into my bedroom. Luke was no where to be found. I scan my room and he was no where in here. I shake my head and quickly throw half of my hair up in a bun and let the other half fall straight down my back. I place in a pair of small diamond stud earrings and apply a small layer of chapstick also grabbing my glasses and putting them on. I carefully apply a layer of mascara and slide on my white Air Force Ones that compliments my white and black Adidas shirt and my black distress skinny jeans. I grab my wallet and phone then making my way out of my room and downstairs. As I walk through the hall and down the stairs I search around for Luke who was still no where in sight. I roll my eyes as I step on the last step and hear his voice in the living room talking to my mom. I let out a small groan and walk out and into the living room. There I see Luke and my mom laughing. That sneaky little shit. My mom and Luke turns to me and both of them sends me a smile.

"Ready to go?" He states while hopping up from the couch and walking over to me. I squint my eyes at him before nodding.

"Bye Ms.Piper, it was nice talking to you." He tells my mom as she sends him a smile.

"It was nice talking to you too. Have fun you two." She tells him before turning back to the TV. I glance over at Luke who was staring at me with a very cheeky smile on his face. I squint my eyes at his suspicious actions before walking past him and to the door. I hear his footsteps behind me as I exit the house. He closes the door and quickly walks up so that he was beside me. I glance over at him as he reaches in his jacket pocket and pulls out a pack of cigarettes. He pulls one out of the pack and sticks it in between his lips. He slips the pack back into his pocket before pulling out a lighter and lighting the cigarette. He takes a long drag from the death stick then releases the smoke that fills his system. He glances at me as we make it to his car. We get in and he starts the car, instantly rolling down the windows. He clicks his seatbelt in as did I as he backs out of the driveway.

"You want one?" He asks while turning his focus on me instead of the road. I scoff before shaking my head.

"No thank you. I'll rather die naturally." I say as he lets out a laugh.

"You die a little everyday. Cigarettes just speeds up the process." He states making me turn my head to look at him. He had a smile on his face as he was trying not to let out a laugh. He glances out the corner of his eye before letting the laugh out of his system.

"You're not funny. Those things can seriously kill you." I tell him.

"I know. Why do you think I smoke?" He says while keeping his eyes on the road. I reach over and pinch his leg. He lets out a small yell of pain.

"Ouch. I'm just kidding babe." He states while taking the half gone cigarette out of his mouth and putting it out in the ashtray he has in his car. Instead of putting his hand back on the steering wheel he grabs my hand that's closest to him, which is my left hand. He intertwine our fingers and gives my hand a squeeze.

"I appreciate your concern though. It means a lot. I smoke just for some relief. That's it." He states while glancing over at me. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as we continue to make our to Lunch. As we make our way to lunch, the whole ride consist of us bickering with each other, but in a good way. We shared very bad jokes, but it still made us laugh. We sung a bit, of course Luke sounding better than me without even trying. I sound like a dying goat when I sing but I still do it.
I never seen Luke smile and laugh so much. When I use to walk past him in the hallways he looked so angry and upset. Well he had a good reason to be now that I know what actually happened, but I'm glad to see him smile. It's a pleasant sight to see because it's as if his smile would light up the room and his laugh is a good thing to hear too. His laugh is like when you would first hear a song that you love and you just want to hear it over and over again. That's how I feel about his laugh. It's something I could listen to all day and never get tired of hearing it.
After about a fifteen minute drive, we eventually pull up to this small cafe. It was standing in between a book store and a art supply store. I stare in awe as Luke lets go of my hand and turns off the car as he parks on the side of the road. He takes off his seatbelt and hops out of the car, me following his actions making sure to grab my wallet and phone. I walk around the car to meet him. He looks at me as I make my way to him. Once I reach him we walk to the cafe and I take in the two stores beside the cafe. The book store was wider, but not as tall as the cafe and art supply store. The book store held a cozy atmosphere to it as did the cafe and art supply store. I smile to myself as I felt Luke bump his elbow onto my upper arm purposely. I look over at him only to see him staring down at me with a peaceful and relaxed face.
