15 more minutes and I can leave.
After the whole argument between Maddie and I all I could feel was her brown eyes burning a hole through me. Even Ryan asked me what happened because he saw Maddie sending me evil glares. I just told him it was nothing serious and that she was just being Maddie. That part is true though because even if I don't do anything to her, she sends me angry stares. I roll my eyes at the thought as once again a screeching microphone brings me back out of my thoughts. I look over at the stage once again and saw the president of the homecoming committee was on the stage again accompanied by two other people. One person held the envelope of the winners and the other person held the two crowns.
"Well hello once again." The girl said as she receives another round of cheers for the second time tonight. She smiles at the crowd before continuing.
"It's now time to announce the winners of homecoming queen and king. Also it's time for our final slow dance of the night so after the crowning of King and Queen, the two winners will have their dance together and so will everyone else. Now let's get to the crowning." She states as this time everyone stays quiet with anticipation. The girl grabs the envelope from her companion and proceeds to open it. She takes out a piece of paper and did a closed mouth smile. She leans forward so she was by the microphone again before she spoke.
"The winners of this years homecoming king and queen are Madeline Kenny and Ryan Anderson." The girl said with a wide smile on her face. Everyone let out multiple different cheers and claps as Ryan and Maddie stood from their seats. I smile up at Ryan as he looks at me and winks. He makes his way to the stage as did Maddie. When the both made it to the stage, they smile at each other as they were crowned.
"Now grab your special someone. It's time for the last slow dance of the night. I hope everyone had a great night and I'll see you all on Monday." She tells us as she left the stage followed by Maddie and Ryan who waltz down the stairs and to the middle of the dance floor. Soon everyone followed their footsteps and stands in the middle of the floor. I stay put as one of my favorite songs started to play. 'Make It To Me' by Sam Smith rang through my ears making my eyes instantly close and a feeling of calmness rushed through me. I let out a small breath and reopen my eyes. They instantly land on the people already on the dance floor. They sway peacefully to the beat of the song. I find Calum and Riley dancing shyly with each other, both of their cheeks tinted lightly. Michael and Ashton were each dancing with some girl. Also Maddie and Ryan both looked like they were having a good time. Even though my eyes were on everyone else I couldn't help but let my mind wonder where Luke was because he wasn't out there or at least where I could see him. I sigh as I listen to the song pass by slowly and before I realize the song was halfway over. I close my eyes once again and just listen to the song as it was finishing up.
"Lillian."
I snap my eyes back open and look at Luke. He had a small smile on his face as he put his hand out beckoning for me to grab it."Do you want to dance?" He asks, his hand still out for me to grab. Not even thinking I grab his hand and he pulls me out of my seat. He walks me a small ways away from the table before placing his hands on my waist. I place my hands on his shoulders as he pulls me into his body. Since I had on heels I could rest my head on his broad shoulders. We began to sway back and forth to the song that was now almost over, but it's still worth it.
"Four years of coming to homecoming and this is the first time I've ever slowed dance." He says into my ear making me look at him.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yes really. Not even Samantha could make me slow dance." He states while squeezing my waist when he said the mystery girls name.
"Who's Samantha?"
