I can't believe I'm doing this.
We just pulled up to Luke's house and basically, I'm chewing on my bottom lip like it's a piece of gum or something. I can't believe I just snuck out of my house. I locked the door in my room, but the only bad part is that I couldn't put my window back down. I can't believe I just snuck out of my house. Did I say that already? I'm sorry I repeat things when I'm nervous.
"Lilly?"
I turn to look at Luke who was already looking at me. He had this smug look on his face as he lets out this small laugh. I roll my eyes before looking back at his house.
"One day, I'm scared you're going to get lost in your own brain. How am I going to find you? You have a very large and wild thinking system." He says while opening his door.
Even though he can't see me, I give him a look. I opened the passenger door and got out."Luke that made no sense what so ever," I tell him as I closed his car door.
"Or did it?"
"Do not try to play mind games with me. I'm already thinking too much about sneaking out of my house. How are we going to get into your house? Do we have to climb a tree here too?" I tell him as he walked to the front door and opened it with a key. I stare at him as if he was crazy.
"Luke are you crazy? Your mom-
"Isn't here. If you looked around you would have noticed her car wasn't here, but no. You were too caught up in your own thoughts." He states making me let out a huff. He pushes the door open and we both enter the dark house. Hearing the door close behind me, I turn around and face him as he locks the door. He flicks the light on and sees that my face is full of anxiety and fear. He walks over and pulls me in for a hug.
"Relax babe. If it makes you feel better I'll take you back right after we finish. I hate for you to be so worried." He states before letting go and grabbing my hand. He guides me to his room and flicks those lights on as well. I walk over to his bed and sit down while he quickly grabs his notebook from the desk. He tosses it down beside me before walking over to grab his guitar.
"Luke your brothers?"
"They both sleep like bears, we'll be fine." He states with a small laugh. He strums the guitar strings to make sure they are in tune and then let's out a shaker breath. I watch as he flips through the notebook with shakes fingers.
"Luke, are you alright? You know you don't have to do this." I tell him while grabbing his hands. He stops before looking up into my eyes.
"If I don't do this now while I have the courage, I don't think I'll be able to do it anymore after." He states. Before I can speak, he continues.
"I-I've been thinking about us a lot lately. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. It's like I need you here. With me. It absolutely scary that my heart is like this again. It scares me that you are someone that changed my moods around. It scared me that you changed me. It's crazy that's one person can do that. Again."
He lets out a sigh before strumming on his guitar skillfully."I need your love to light up this house. I wanna know what you're all about. I wanna feel you, feel you tonight. I wanna tell you that it's alright."
"I need your love to guide me back home. When I'm with you, I'm never alone. I need to feel you, feel you tonight. I need to tell you that it's alright."
I sit quietly as he continues to sing the song he wrote about me. It's amazing. The fact that he wrote a song about me is very heartwarming. This is actual proof. This is proof he cares for me and he wants something to do with me. He wants me in his life. He actually has feelings for me. I can hear it in his voice. Passion. It's there. Everything is.
