"Mama." Janet laid back with Gabby next to her. "Mama." She hit Janet's face. "Mama!" Janet opened her eyes and looked at her.
"Princess, mommy is tired. Can I rest a little bit?" Gabby looked at Janet and blinked before crying. "Okay." Janet sat up. "Okay." She pulled Gabby to her and tried to calm her down. "Shhh.."
Ever since the police put out a warrant for Jenna's arrest she had been trying to evade them, so Toni didn't want Janet leaving the house and she was getting very sick of it. Plus, with Gabby getting closer to one, she had been acting out. She was moving around a lot faster and was practically running from Janet. With Janet being five months pregnant, it was getting harder for her to keep up with Gabby. Luckily, Jenny and her mother helped her. "Mama!" Gabby grabbed onto Janet's face.
"Sweetie, please. I'm tired." Janet fought to keep her eyes open as she yawned. Gabby continued to grab her face and talk to her. "I love you too, sweetie."
Eventually, Gabby settled down and played with her toys. Janet laid her head back against the headboard and closed her eyes. She just needed a little sleep. This pregnancy was a lot harder than when she was pregnant with Gabby. She was a lot more tired and fatigued. She was hungrier and her patience was a lot thinner, but she tried to stay positive and in a good mood, because she knew her mood and energy would affect her baby.
That's why she was no longer against her mother, Mama E and Daniel's mother coming to help them after the baby was born. If she was exhausted now, she knew she'd be tired when it was time to have the new baby. Plus, she'd also have to get used to the dynamic of being a mother of two. The simple fact of that was shocking to her. She'd be nineteen with two kids and although it wasn't how she saw her life going, she was very happy that this is how it turned out. She loved Toni and she loved the life that they were building together.
Janet felt herself drift off into sleep and as much as she wanted to fight it, she couldn't and it actually felt very nice. Her body leaned over and her head landed on the pillow and before she knew it, she was in a deep sleep.
"Janet." Toni came into the room. "Jan..ohh." She looked and saw Janet slumped over, asleep. Gabby was messing with her eyelids and nose. "Princess, no." She went over and picked Gabby up. "Mommy is sleeping." She held Gabby in one arm while she covered Janet up. "You want to give Mommy a kiss?" Toni leaned and gently kissed Janet's forehead. She held Gabby over her and she pushed her mouth against Janet's head. "Good job." Toni grabbed a few of the toys and left the room.
"Mama."
"Mommy is sleeping, so it's just us, gang." She tickled Gabby and she laughed. "What you want to do? Knock over a bank?" She sat with her on the couch and stood her up. "Are you excited about moving?" Gabby bounced on her feet. "I know you are. You're getting a new sister and a new room. Mama got you a nice bed and the room is full of your favorite colors. Grandpa made sure of it."
"Ahh."
"Exactly. He said we had to do you right, but he didn't trust us to do it." Gabby leaned against the back of the couch. "You also won't have to share a room. You get your own room and your sister gets her own room when she's big enough. Now, Dani will be downstairs with her parents and I know you two have gotten close but separate rooms." Gabby stomped her feet. "Be mad. She gets her own space downstairs. I could always put her in your room." Gabby looked away. "That's what I thought." Toni chuckled. "But it'll be just us. All on our own and I'm excited to see what me and your mommy can do." Gabby sat down in Toni's lap and laid against her. "I know you're excited too."
Toni played with Gabby's little hands. She pulled away and Toni grabbed them again. They went back and forth like this for a few minutes before Gabby stood up on Toni's lap. She pushed on her face and Toni laughed. "Cut it out, silly girl."
