Janet fought back tears as Toni took their bags to the car. "Toni, maybe we should stay." Toni sat down the bags she was holding and looked at Janet.
"You've been so excited for this trip. What changed your mind?" Janet looked down at Gabby crawling around on the floor. Toni hugged her. "She'll be fine. Your mother is watching her tonight and will drop her at my parents' house tomorrow morning."
"I know, but....she's so little. Maybe we should wait until she's older." Toni sighed.
"Remember you told me you wanted to do some things for yourself, especially after everything that happened?"
"I did."
"So...Jenny is in jail and Gabby is safe. So let's go and have some fun married people time." Toni held her waist and kissed Janet's cheek.
"You're right. We do need some good alone time."
"Exactly. And I'm sure Gabby will be just fine." Toni resumed taking the bags to the car. Gabby crawled over to Janet and sat on her foot. She pulled at Janet's pant leg and placed her mouth on her.
"Awww..." Janet bent down and picked her up. "I can't leave you." She hugged Gabby. "I love you too much." Gabby looked at Janet. "Maybe we can convince Mama to let you go."
"Now, Janet..." Janet looked up and saw Katherine walking towards her. "You know Toni ain't going for that. You might as well hand my baby over." Janet pouted, but Gabby reached for Katherine. "Yeah." Katherine took her. "Your Mommy is being extra. We're gonna have sweet treats."
"Mother.." Janet folded her arms. "Sweet treats? She's seven months."
"And you are in our business. Ain't that right Gabby?"
"Ah ha ha."
"See, told you."
"You ready, baby?" Toni came back into the house. Janet sighed and looked at Gabby.
"Yeah. I guess." She leaned and gave Gabby a kiss. "Mommy will miss you. Will you miss me?" Gabby looked at Janet with a blank look causing Toni to start laughing.
"Dang. Talk about a gut punch." Janet held her mouth open.
"Told you. She will be fine. Now go." Janet grabbed her purse.
"Okay. Remember the bottles are made and in the fridge in our room."
"I know. You told me twice."
"And she has that diaper rash. The ointment is in the little case of her stuff, in the nursery."
"Okay."
"And..."
"Janet, leave."
"Okay, bye." They headed to the door. "One last hug." Janet went back to hug and kiss Gabby. "I love you." Toni pulled Janet away and gave Gabby a small kiss on her forehead before heading out.
"Girl, your Mommy is crazy." Katherine said to Gabby. She let out a cute, small laugh.
"Kathy!" She heard Joseph call her and she headed to his office. Michael Sr. was sitting there with him.
"Hi, honey."
"Toni and Janet are gone?" asked Michael Sr.
"Yes." She sat down and held Gabby in her lap. "What did you find out?"
"So...Jenna was behind your accident and Gabby's kidnapping."
"I figured."
"But here's the thing, Michael Sr. had someone placed with the Fosters to keep an eye on them and.....uhhh..."
