"Okay, Gabby. Who's the best uncle ever?" Gil stood Gabby on his lap. She stared at him. "Who's the best uncle?" She bounced.
"Gil, stop it." said Janet.
"Wait, let her answer." He turned his head. "Uncle Gil." He spoke in a high pitched voice. "Oh my god. Thank you." He hugged Gabby. Janet laughed and sat on the couch next to him.
"Give me my baby." Janet took Gabby and sat her on her lap. She wiped a little spit up off her face.
"So have you talked to Toni?"
"No."
"Booty, you've been here for two days."
"I'll leave if you want me to."
"No, that's not what I mean. There's always a place here for you and my goddaughter. What I mean is, you should talk to her. I know she misses Gabby."
"I sent her pictures."
"Yeah, like that makes up for her not seeing her child." Janet sighed. "You still haven't fully told me what the problem was."
"There's this....chick at the office. She used to be Toni's assistant but now she's Auntie Diana's, but she keeps hitting on Toni."
"Then tell Toni to tell her to back off."
"She did." Gil looked at Janet.
"So....."
"She keeps coming around. She's always by Toni's office under the pretense that she's bringing documents. I've been around enough for her to understand that Toni and I are married, but she keeps coming around. I just.....I'm nervous that there's a deeper reason. What if one thing is going on in my face, but behind my back...."
"Janet, don't do that. Toni loves you."
"But...." She felt tears come to her eyes. "...she doesn't treat me the same. Don't get me wrong, I love Gabby. She's my little princess, but she's all Toni talks about unless we're having sex and then immediately when we're done, she goes right back into parent mode. It's like I'm just the person that cares for the baby until she wants sex." Gil sighed.
"Dang." He tapped his finger. "Well....is it at least good?"
"Oh yeah. She fucks me so good and hard."
"Really?"
"You think I got pregnant within a year because of bad sex?"
"True." Gil scratched his neck. "How big is it?"
"Gil." He chuckled.
"I'm kidding."
"No you're not."
"No, I'm not. How big?"
"I'll put it this way....I become a waterfall everytime." Gil snapped his fingers.
"Okay, Toni. I see you." They laughed. "But seriously you need to talk to her."
"I don't want to." Janet started to cry. "I just...." Tears started rolling down her face. "I'm worried she's not going to want me anymore. I'm bigger and I don't work or go to school. I try to keep myself up and do stuff, but I just....what if it's not enough." Gabby turned around and looked at Janet crying. She immediately started crying. Janet put her on her shoulder and rubbed her back. "I'm sorry, baby." She tried to calm her down, but both of their crying got worse. It was getting to the point that the both started losing their breath. Gabby began to cough.
"Janet, give her to me."
"No....I got her. She'll....she'll be okay."
"Jan..." She got up from the couch and went into the bedroom. Gil could still hear them both crying and it was getting worse. He was really worried about her.
In the two days she was there, Gil had noticed her moods were erratic. Sometimes she was happy and would suddenly just break down crying and a lot of times it's when she was doing something with Gabby. That made him realize this was deeper than whatever was going on with Toni.
