"Laura, stop it." Diana laughed as she kissed her neck.
"Come on. Bishop's gone for the day. The office is closed and it's just us."
"That doesn't mean we can get nasty on my desk."
"Yes, it does. Plus I doubt anyone's going to catch us."
"There are cameras."
"And I don't care. I'm a close friend and executive assistant to the owner of the company and you're a family friend. I doubt we'll get in trouble." Laura sat in Diana's lap and kissed on her face.
"Laura..." Diana pulled away causing Laura to sigh.
"This is about Barry, isn't it?" Diana looked down.
"Why are you letting him dictate your life and he's not even married to you anymore?"
"I'm not letting him run my life."
"Yes, you are." Laura got up.
"Laura...don't be like that." She gathered up her things.
"No. I'm tired, Dia. I can't keep playing this back and forth game. One day you're all in love. You come over and we have the best time. Then next thing I know, you're cagey and distant. All because of that man."
"Baby, listen..." Diana got up.
"Don't 'baby' me." She packed her purse. "We're too old to be doing this. Either you want to be with me or not."
"I do want you." She went to her but Laura backed away.
"Then why are you letting Barry hold you back?" Diana sighed.
"He's not...it's just...with Rhonda...he's her father and..."
"Then why isn't that happening with Robert? I mean, Tracee is his daughter but he doesn't seem to have any hold on you. I don't have that problem with Rick when it comes to RJ." Diana rubbed her forehead. "So what is it?"
"Laura, baby..."
"Don't 'baby' me. If I wanted to be treated this way, I would've stayed with Rick." Laura went to the door.
"Wait."
"I can't do this Diana." She grabbed Laura's arm and pulled her back.
"Please, don't leave." Laura snatched her arm back.
"If you can't figure out your feelings, I'll find someone else to give my time to." She left, leaving Diana standing there crying. Laura made her way to the elevator as she wiped her eyes. She could feel her heart breaking.
As she turned the corner to get to the elevator, she noticed some movement. Moving back a little, she saw a person at Ivan's desk, but it wasn't him. This person was shorter and fuller. Laura watched as the person began to search the different things in his desk. She could see they tried to be careful as they did it.
Turning back, Laura ran to Diana's office. Going in, she immediately went to her desk to warn her. Diana had her head down on her desk as she cried. "Diana." Laura talked low. She lifted her head and instantly went to hug her.
"You came back. I'm so so..."
"Not now." Laura backed up. "Someone is snooping through Ivan's desk."
"Oh..." Diana sat down. "Yeah, that's Jenna." Laura looked at her.
"Why aren't we going after her?"
"Because we set this up to catch her. She's not gonna find any true information."
"Oh....would've been nice to know."
"I thought you did. Maybe Bishop forgot."
"I guess so." Laura sighed.
