XXXI. Return

Hey everyone, it's Super Kami Draco!

I know it's been a little over a year since I've updated this book, but I've been slowly getting back into it. I just needed a break from writing. It wasn't as fun for me anymore, but I've been feeling more motivated lately and coming up with new ideas and found that the motivation's returned in bursts at least! I'll try, emphasis on try, to update more frequently going forward, but I still need to get back in the groove of things for both this and other books. I decided to update this first since it was heavily the most the requested. There's not a whole lot of plot going on here, which is perfect for getting back into it! There are a couple important plot points though, so pay attention!

I was about to hit "Publish" when I noticed that the title of the chapter is perfect since this is the return of the book and of me writing. That was completely unintentional! Now time to hit it!

Ichigo's POV

Vale. It's only been a little over a day, but Ichigo still likes the place. Lumbridge was a nice town as well. The people were more guarded than those in Vale, but that's due to the more militaristic lifestyle of the citizens, necessitated by the lack of natural barriers that Vale has.

It's strange though. It's almost as if the entire town and the surrounding area was a giant reference to something and not many people understood it. Ichigo sure doesn't know what it was.

Oh well. Out of sight, out of mind. It probably won't happen again.

What won't be out of mind is what Alice did this morning...

Flashback
Alice's POV

Ugh... The party last night was a bad idea. Drinking at said party last night was an even worse idea if Alice's head and stomach are to be believed. The pounding sensation assaulting her head combined with the chaotic rumblings of her gut are not something she was used to. Celebrations like that one aren't exactly rare here, but Alice almost never drinks. Her lack of experience along with how everyone else was pressuring her into having a good time is what led to this predicament.

Oh no.

Alice feels her mouth salivating and her stomach turning, clear signs that she's going to throw up. She doesn't want to do it in bed, so she quickly stands up and tries to make it to the bathroom. She only makes it a few feet before she stops, closes her eyes out of reflex, hunches over, and spews a torrent of vomit onto the stone floor.

Except that after she finishes and opens her eyes, she's not staring at a vomit-covered floor. She's instead staring at a vomit-covered Ichigo on the floor. He's staring back at her like she's a crazy person, completely freaked out.

Present
Ichigo's POV

Alice had thought she was in her room and was heading for the bathroom to puke, but ended up not making it. She had gotten completely pass-out drunk last night at the party and one of the guards asked Ichigo to put her to bed. Since Ichigo didn't know where her room was and all attempts to find that out were met with "you can figure it out, you're the Blue Reaper!" by the other smashed military members, he just decided to say screw it and put her to bed in the guest room that he was given. He decided to sleep on the floor. It wasn't the most comfortable, but it would do. He didn't expect to be woken up by Alice's foul-smelling spew getting all over his robe.

Alice had him take his vomit-covered robe down to the laundry to be dry cleaned. She paid for it, incessantly apologizing for the trouble. After taking a shower and putting on his freshly cleaned robe, Ichigo felt back to normal, with no evidence of the morning's events on him. He would have been more angry, but he understands. And it's not like it's the first time Ichigo's been puked on. Yuzu and Karin have both done it when they were sick with the flu. It was one hell of a way to wake up, though.
