"SERVAAAAAAAAAAANT!"

Mia let out a deep sigh, looking up from her book. "What, oh dear king."

Blackie let out a sassy sniff. "I'm cold."

"You're always cold." the wind ninja mumbled, but she stood up anyway and picked her cat up, wrapping him in her jacket.

Blackie squirmed for a moment, then nestled himself deeper into the folds of Mia's jacket with the smug air of royalty receiving tribute. "Better. Much better. Truly, you are blessed to serve me."

Mia rolled her eyes, carrying him back to the couch. "You're literally sitting in my jacket like a burrito. A spoiled burrito."

"A distinguished burrito," Blackie corrected, tail flicking. "You wouldn't call a king spoiled, would you?"

"You just called yourself a king five seconds ago."

Blackie gave her a pointed look. "...Exactly."

Emma peeked around the corner, a mug of tea in hand. "Is he doing the 'Servant' thing again?"

Mia groaned. "Yes. Apparently I'm a royal court attendant now."

Emma snickered. "Careful, or next time he'll want a throne."

Blackie's eyes sparkled with dangerous interest. "A throne, you say?"

Mia froze. "...Don't even think about it."

Blackie stretched luxuriously in her lap. "It doesn't have to be fancy. Just... velvet cushions. Gold trim. A goblet of cream by my side."

Emma choked on her tea. "A goblet—?!"

Mia pressed her palm to her face. "You're a cat. You don't get a throne."

Blackie purred smugly. "Then I shall simply continue to freeze... oh woe is me... unless, of course, my servant sees to my royal comfort."

Emma leaned against the wall, laughing. "He's got you wrapped around his little paw."

Mia sighed, tightening her jacket around him as he snuggled in even deeper. "...Yeah. I know."

Blackie smirked triumphantly. "Long live the king."
