" HEY SUNNIE WAKE UP!"
Sunnie let out a strangled scream. " WHAT?! WHAT HAPPENED?!"
Somewhere outside she heard a certain husband of a certain painter shout, "HOSE ARE THE BOXES THAT HAVE MY UNDERWEAR! HOLY COW!"
Sunnie's eyes widened. " What have I woken up to.....?" She muttered.
Mia popped her head in with a grin. " Morning, Birthday Girl!"
Sunnie gave Mia a plain look. " PLEASE don't tell me Emma used Morro's clothes for a new art piece."
" Then I won't tell you."
Sunnie groaned and rubbed her temples as she tried to shake off the confusion. What had she woken up to? A loud crash echoed from outside, followed by a shout that sounded suspiciously like Morro.
"HEY! WHO MOVED MY UNDERWEAR BOXES?!" Morro's voice bellowed from somewhere nearby.
"Well, that answers that," Sunnie muttered to herself, already regretting the moment she opened her eyes. She knew her life was chaotic, but this was a whole new level.
Mia, however, was grinning like this was the most normal thing in the world. "It's okay! Emma just... borrowed some stuff for her new art piece. You know how she is."
Sunnie let out a dramatic sigh and swung her legs out of bed, the floor feeling like a distant memory. "I just... knew something would happen today. Of course Emma would be using Morro's clothes for a project."
Mia shrugged, completely unfazed by the scene unfolding outside. "Hey, it's your birthday, so consider this your gift from the universe. Nothing says 'celebrate' like a little chaos, right?"
"Chaos doesn't always make the best gift," Sunnie grumbled, squinting at Mia, who was now looking far too entertained by the whole situation. "How did you even... get in here so early?"
Mia blinked innocently, then glanced over her shoulder, where it sounded like Morro was trying to track down his stolen items. "I've been up for hours! Birthday morning traditions, you know?" She waggled her eyebrows. "Now, are you going to let me take you out for some birthday fun, or do I need to go rescue Morro from the clutches of a lost underwear crisis?"
Sunnie raised an eyebrow and threw her blanket off, preparing to face the madness head-on. "Alright, alright. Let's get this over with before Morro ends up in another art piece by Emma." She paused, eyeing Mia. "But no more surprises, okay?"
