Chapter 54: Unacceptable

If Khalid's eyes met Rayyan's in this moment, murder would be the only outcome.

In the evening Tasleem woke up. She actually feels much better, she's just a little weak. She felt a tight grip on her hand. 

Rayyan was sitting beside her bed with his eyes closed, stubbornly holding her hand tightly. Tasleem glanced at him with a smile. She slowly tried to withdraw her hand from his grip so as not to disturb his nap. 

His eyes flew open by her little action. "You're awake? How are you feeling?" He worriedly asked while touching her forehead to check her temperature.

"Did I wake you up?"

He shook his head at her. "I wasn't sleeping, I just closed my eyes for a while. Do you feel pain anywhere?" He asked.

She shook her head and said. "I've recovered fully, I don't feel pain anywhere. I could run a marathon right now." She slowly sat up on the bed, Rayyan helped adjust the pillow behind her back. 

He laughed at her words and passed her a glass of water. She collected the glass and took a few sips and returned the glass cup back to him.

"You're really thin and weak, I already asked Mamie to make some nourishing soup for you." He said.

Tasleem pouted at his word. She's actually not that thin. "I'm not weak, I just unexpectedly fell sick."

He pecked her cheek and said. "Alright, alright. But you're still drinking the soup." Tasleem flushed at his action.

He called Dr. Nabila informing her that Tasleem woke up. Dr. Nabila checked up on her and informed The anxious Rayyan that his wife is fine. He heaved a sigh of relief and thanked Dr. Nabila. 

Amira came with the food after Dr. Nabila left. She sat beside Tasleem on the bed after serving her the soup with potato. 

Rayyan took out his phone to see many missed calls from Sa'eed. He planted a sweet little kiss on Tasleem's cheek right in front of Amira. Before informing her that he will make an important call before excusing himself out. 

Amira's eyes widened at the scene that happened before her eyes. She rubbed her eyes twice in an  exaggerated manner to Tasleem. "Pinch me, pinch me." 

Tasleem pinched her. "Ouch it hurts! OMG! I'm not dreaming." She exclaimed. "Wow, I'm telling Mamie." She picked up her phone and it got snatched from her hand. 

Tasleem slapped Amira on her arm and said, "You must be joking?" 

Amira could not help it and laughed. "I won't tell her, give me my phone." Amira said with a smile. Tasleem gave her the phone. 

Amira giggled and said. "Ya Rayyan is Madly in love." She said, "Did you notice, he only glanced at me once, his eyes were all over you the whole time."

Tasleem blushed at her words. "I didn't notice, pass me the banana." 

"I know you're just shy, who would have thought that you'll love each other this much." She stood up and picked the banana on the side drawer, after piling it she passed it to Tasleem and said. "My dear sister-in-law ate your banana." Tasleem feels like crying at Amira's tease.

After an hour Amira left the hospital.

 After two days, Tasleem finished her IV drip. Dr Nabila checked Tasleem thoroughly, seeing that she's fine, she discharged her in the afternoon. "See, I told you I've recovered." Tasleem wore a grey dress. It was simple and did not dim away her beauty, rather the gown makes her features more innocent and beautiful.
