Lost in deep thoughts Amra's eyes were on the TV with a bored look on her face. The television light reflected on her face as the movie kept going on.
She hissed out of anger. Daddy forbade her from going out just because of a small mistake. And it's not like she killed Tasleem or something for the whole family to exaggerate it that way. Another hiss left her lips.
She heard a chuckle beside her. "I can't believe you did that Amra, going to the village just to separate the couple is quite surprising. I didn't know you like adventures that much." Commented Yasim who was standing next to her with a bottle of water in his hand.
Amra's lips twisted in displeasure, "I have no idea what you are speaking about. Ya Yasim." She changed the topic just to annoy him. "Why are you looking at me like that? Am I looking so beautiful that you cannot keep your eyes off of me?" She turned her head to meet Yasim's eyes with a fake smile plastered on her lips.
Yasim smiled, "I wasn't watching you, but I was surely distracted by the smoke coming from you. I thought I should let you know." Amra glared at her brother for the words he uttered, and if she could, she would tear his head off his body.
"I was simply trying to help Ya Rayyan after he was forced to marry a village girl he doesn't like. What's wrong with that?" Amra asked while trying to keep a straight face.
"Whatever floats your boat. You know what happened," Yasim took a sip from his bottle and kept the bottle on the center table.
The door opened at that moment. "Ya Yasim." He heard his name being called, without turning back he knew who it was.
"My princess, have you slept well?"
She hugged his waist and replied. "I did. Did you dream about me?"
"Of course I did." He said, his voice was much gentler, and his lips formed into a smile.
She tiptoed and rubbed his head, "Good boy," Amira seemed to remember something suddenly and asked him, "Are we going out today?"
"Anywhere you want to go my princess, but first remember what you promised me!" He had one arm around her neck pinning her into his embrace.
"Can you let go of me? You're heavy, you know that!?"
"No, I'm not even leaning on you, so where's the weight from?" Even though Yasim had retorted like that, he still lessened his grip substantially when he realised that her face was scrunched up in discomfort.
Amira glared at him in displeasure and simply pulled his arm off and hugged it to herself. "Let's go. I want boba tea."
It was at that moment that Amira noticed Amra's gaze. They were as sharp as daggers. brimming with annoyance and displeasure. "Sis Amra I heard you're forbidden from going out, do you want me to bring you something?" Amira asked.
Amra gritted her teeth out of anger. How dare Amira tease her about her punishment. And they were displaying public affection in front of her this morning. "Can you guys leave, you're distracting me!" She hissed and picked up the remote and changed the channel.
Amira glanced at Yasim and looked back at Amra ready to reply to her when Yasim dragged her out. She pouted and turned her head away from him. Where she would not have to look at his face.
Yasim knew she was angry at him. "Princess, are you angry at me? I just didn't want you to talk a lot so that you wouldn't tire yourself."
Amira snapped her head and glared at him. "I wasn't planning on talking a lot."
He hooked his arm around her neck and playfully poked her cheek with his finger. "Alright, you're not. It's my fault, don't be angry anymore."
A smile spread out of Amira's lips hearing the words that came out of his lips.
