Prince Nuab was travelling with a lot of people including security personnel and secretaries for various affairs. He had also brought the middle aged woman to look after Tasleem throughout the journey.
Before the private jet took off, Tasleem quietly switched her phone to airplane mode. She knew that since Rayyan discovered where she had gone, he would definitely follow her.
After the plane took off, Tasleem saw that Nuab became immersed in work. He carefully read through every document handed to him. Signed approvals, and occasionally discussed important issues with his secretaries in low voices. There seemed to be no end to the responsibilities waiting for him.
Tasleem sat quietly beside the window, occasionally glancing in his direction. Wondering if this is his daily routine.
Her gaze slowly drifted back to the window.
She rested her head lightly against the window. At the moment, her thoughts felt just like the drifting clouds outside. Aimless, unsettled, and unable to find peace.
Although everything was now clear, the truth was so overwhelming that she still couldn't fully accept it. adding to the fact that she's now going to meet her biological parents she felt nervous and in disbelief.
She wasn't sure whether she should be happy or afraid.
Perhaps she was feeling all at once.
She couldn't help but think of Rayyan and Amira. If only they were here...
She wanted someone familiar beside her, someone she could talk to, someone who could help calm the storm raging inside her head.
Nearly an hour passed. Only then did Nuab finally pause from his work. He instinctively turned toward Tasleem. She was still staring quietly out of the window. Her expression remained calm, yet her eyes were unfocused, as though her mind had wandered off somewhere far.
A trace of guilt crossed his face.
He had been so occupied with work that he had unintentionally neglected her. "Are you bored?" He asked gently. "I've been so busy that I completely forgot about you." He smiled apologetically. "Would you like to read a book? Or would you prefer something to eat? I can have the flight attendant bring it over."
Tasleem blinked, finally returning from her thoughts.
She gave a small shake of her head. "It's not necessary." A faint smile appeared on her lips. "I'm feeling a little sleepy. I think I'd rather take a nap..." She softly said.
"Alright," Nuab replied with a nod. "Go ahead and get some rest. We still have a long way to go before we arrive."
Tasleem nodded.
Nuab glanced at his secretary who immediately understood and quietly instructed a flight attendant to bring over a blanket.
The attendant returned and respectfully handed it to him. Nuab took the blanket from the attendant without hesitation. He carefully unfolded it and draped it over her.
His movements were so swift and natural that Tasleem blinked in surprise. He adjusted the blanket around her shoulders to make sure she was comfortable.
The flight attendant then returned with a few books and quietly placed them on a nearby table in case she changed her mind and wanted to read.
Nuab looked at Tasleem and found her staring at him.
