Amira pointed her middle finger at Nuab provocatively. As if Nuab could see her, he suddenly turned around before she could pull her hand back and left Amira in shock.

Her hand nearly suffered a cramp because of that.

Nuab's lips curved into a smile and that smile sent chills down Amira's back. 'The heartless man is mad again!'

When they arrived home, Tasleem's eyes immediately fell on Rayyan's bruised face. Her heart skipped a beat as she hurried over to him.

"Hubby, what happened to your face?" she asked anxiously, gently brushing her fingers over the cut on the corner of his lip.

Rayyan frowned at the way she walked and instinctively rested a hand on her swollen belly.

"Don't walk so fast," he scolded softly before guiding her to the sofa. Once she was seated, he settled beside her.

"What happened?" she asked again, worry still evident in her voice.

Amira, who had been standing nearby, let out an irritated huff. "It's that crazy, shameless man, Nuab!" she said furiously. "You won't believe what happened."

Tasleem turned to Rayyan. "Did you two fight?" She asked.

"My brother beat him up," Amira answered proudly.

Rayyan shot her a look. "How many times have I told you to stay away from him?" he asked. "You never listen, do you?"

Amira pouted.

"Ya Rayyan, I didn't do anything! He just attacked me out of nowhere," she defended herself.

Rayyan simply stared at her.

He knew Amira better than anyone. She had a remarkable talent for causing trouble. She's stubborn and reckless.

With a quiet sigh, he turned to Tasleem. "I'm going to take a shower." He said, leaned down and kissed her gently on the cheek, then headed upstairs.

The moment he disappeared, Amira sat comfortably on the sofa beside Tasleem.

"Now tell me everything," Tasleem urged.

Amira didn't leave out a single detail. She narrated everything from beginning to end, her frustration growing with every sentence.

"Can you believe that lunatic locked me in a room for hours?" she complained. "What if I'd fainted from hunger or thirst? That man is pure evil!"

The moment she finished, Tasleem took one look at Amira's disheveled appearance and burst into uncontrollable laughter. Tears gathered in the corners of her eyes as she struggled to catch her breath.

Amira stared at her in disbelief.

"Are you okay?" she asked with a perfectly serious expression. "Or is this one of your pregnancy symptoms?"

Tasleem laughed even harder.

"That's exactly why I keep telling you to stop looking for trouble. Just look at your face!"

Frowning, Amira instinctively touched her cheeks. "What's wrong with my face?" She asked.

Without waiting for an answer, she hurried to the nearest mirror.

The second she saw her reflection, her eyes widened in horror.

Her hair was a complete mess, her makeup was smeared beyond recognition, and she looked like she'd survived a battlefield.

"Oh my God..." She murmured.

Heat rushed to her cheeks as embarrassment washed over her. She glanced back at Tasleem, who was still laughing helplessly.
