He looked at her calmly, "I wanted to take a sample of your blood while you were still unconscious for DNA testing," he said, "but later, I thought that I should wait for you to wake up and let you decide after asking."

Tasleem took a deep breath, it's better to clear any misunderstanding that might occur later. "Do it." She said,

She finally understood why he had been following her and casting strange looks at her the first time he saw her.

Yet, when she said those two words, she was certain they weren’t related in any way.

If anyone else had told her that she was related to their family, perhaps… she would have considered it. However, he was a prince, a prince from another country.

Logically, it was hard to believe. After her parents passed away and she moved into her uncle’s house, she lived in a village full of gossipers. If she hadn’t been her parents’ biological child, someone would have told her by now. Mama would have definitely mocked her with it.

After thinking through all those possibilities, she became one hundred percent certain that they weren’t related in any way.

Seeing that she was deep in thought, he asked, “Is there anything else you want to know?”

“Just take a blood sample from me now,” Tasleem said, her tone firm. “I don’t want to wait any longer. And I want to go back. My family will be worried.”

“Already arranged.” Nuab looked at his secretary. “Get the doctor.”

The secretary nodded and left to fetch the doctor.

The doctor arrived shortly afterward. He collected blood samples from both of them and took them away for testing.

If the two were truly related, the DNA test would reveal it immediately. It was the easiest and most straightforward way to find out.

Nuab gently patted Tasleem’s head. “Get some sleep. We’ll have the results tomorrow.”

With everything settled for the day, he finally felt at ease.

Tasleem shook her head. “I’m afraid it’ll be hard for me to sleep. Even though I know it isn’t true, it’s better to clear up the confusion for the sake of my late parents.”

Nuab felt sorry for her. After learning what she had gone through in the village, he couldn’t help but sympathize with her. For such a young girl to endure all of that… it must have been incredibly difficult.

What unsettled him even more was that she wasn’t even considering the possibility that they might truly be family.

“Can I have my phone back?” she asked.

“I’ll give it to you tomorrow.”

Disappointment filled Tasleem’s eyes. She wanted to contact Rayyan as soon as possible. She missed him dearly. “Why not now?” she asked.

A frown settles on his face by the way she keeps asking her phone to call that fool. “Because Rayyan will know your location. That’s why. And I don’t want anything interfering with the DNA test.”

Tasleem frowned at him as he walked out of the room.

The secretary quietly closed the door behind him and followed Prince Nuab.

Nuab rubbed his forehead. “You should go back to your room and get some rest.”

The secretary was about to reply when one of the phones in his pocket rang. He always carried two phones. His own and Nuab’s. He took it out and glanced at the screen. "His Majesty is calling,” he said softly.
