The brown-haired twin was now squabbling with his "beloved" sister, the two of them roughhousing near their desks. They were on equal footing and neither was giving way, much to Petra's amusement as she watched from her mattress. "Yeah, Jess! You get him," she lazily cheered from the corner, eliciting a sound of disapproval from her boyfriend as he pushed the black-haired girl.

"See? Even Petra agrees... that you should have done your work!" The twin sister grunted as she forced her hand onto her brother's shoulder. For a moment, the two of them rolled over as their inertia sent them over, but they quickly recovered and immediately had their hands on the other within seconds.

Jesse grabbed his sister's face with his whole hand, squishing her cheeks under his palm. "I can just do it later! When were you a stickler for the rules?!"

"Someone has to be the responsible one since you're too busy having fun!" she retorted, sticking her tongue out so it touched Jesse's palm. He retracted his hand immediately, wiping it on her shirt. "Gross!" he yelled out.

Petra cracked up, holding her stomach from the hilarity. "Oh man, she really got you!" she guffawed. "That's a classic move! You should have seen your face!"

"I made Petra laugh! I win!" Jess exclaimed, pumping her hands in the air. She emulated a sad trumpet as she got in her brother's face, making him grab one of Petra's pillows to smack his sister with. The twin sister merely laughed at him and pulled him up, pointing at his desk. "Now git! Shoo! Go finish your homework!"

Jesse puffed his cheeks, huffing as he was pushed towards his table. He looked over his shoulder at Petra, the redhead shrugging at him, and pouted when he realized she wasn't going to defend him. "Fiiiiiiine. I'll get on it. But only because Peets wants me to!"

"Don't pin this on me!" the freckled teen playfully sneered.

After another few minutes of verbal squabbling, Jesse finally sat down in his chair and began working on his homework again. This time, he had no escape from already using his "I can't focus" excuse for the day, so he plugged in his earphones and put on some music to help him focus. It was a little difficult for the first few minutes, but once he settled in and answered the first question, it got much easier to tune out the distractions. For the next hour, he dutifully worked on his chemistry assignment, knocking out the annoying math faster than he had originally anticipated. He sat up in his chair and leaned back to stretch after making sure both sides of the paper were finished, turning to check on Jess and Petra.

Petra was falling asleep listening to some random videos, her earphones haphazardly falling out and her mouth wide open as she quietly snored. He couldn't blame her for getting sleepy, as their wall clock now displayed 11:24 P.M. and she had tired herself out after chasing him in the parking lot earlier. Meanwhile, Jess was tapping away on her phone, a huge smile on her face. She seemed to be vividly enraptured by whatever conversation was on her screen, and he couldn't help but be curious. Neatly tucking his homework away, he got up from his desk and decided to bother his sister in the typical sibling fashion by lying right on top of her.

"Wh– Get off, stinky, I just showered and you're all smelly from running." Jess lifted her legs to roll him off, and he languidly half-slid off the bed.

"I finished my work. Bored now. You looked like you were doing something interesting."

"I'm talking to Olivia. Now go shower."

"Whatcha talkin' about?"

The sister rolled her eyes but flipped her phone to show her screen. "Girl stuff, if you can't tell." Her phone was covered with messages, the different texts saying various things like "QHAT HOW" and "That is so cute, I need it now", among other similar lines of typing. "We're looking at stuffed animals," Jess clarified before turning her screen back. "Satisfied?"
