(This book is a couple weeks shy of its three-year anniversary on Wattpad, and in honour of that, I have a couple of bonus chapters to post. Please enjoy this first one of Angie's backstory and the night she was turned.)

"You do know that this is the girls' locker room, right?" Angie asked with a smirk on her lips. She was standing before her own open locker, her sweaty basketball jersey now stuffed inside as she stood in her shorts and a sports bra.

"Didn't seem to stop you from sneaking into the boys' locker room to hide my basketball shoes," replied the slightly pissed off boy who stood behind her.

Angie spun on her heel, her braid hitting her back. "That's a rather strong accusation. Not to mention sexist. I don't particularly like the accusation that I have to cheat in order to beat the famous Derek Hale from winning basketball MVP."

"Drop the innocent act, Stilinski. Where are my shoes?" Derek growled as Angie continued smiling. He wore nothing but his basketball shorts and a white vest, probably in the early stages of getting ready for his team's practice, when he noticed his shoes were missing.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Angie, stop it. Where are my shoes?"

"What's wrong, Derek? Can't take some healthy competition?" she challenged, hands on her hips.

"Stilinski, you wouldn't know healthy competition if it bit you in the ass. You play dirty."

"Keep any mention of my ass out of your mouth, Hale. And don't act like you don't play dirty as well! Or was it some invisible ghosts that changed Coach's lineup and had me sitting on the bench all game instead of starting centre?"

"That's because you taped the bottom of my shoes so I'd slip on the court."

"Only because you took my name off the basketball sign-up sheet and tried to put it on the soccer one. And trust me, Hale, the only balls I'll be kicking are the tiny ones between your legs."

"Please, you'd have to be able to aim to do that. You'd miss my big balls."

"Derek," Angie said slowly, not realising how close the two of them had gotten as they spat insult after insult at each other. She took another step towards him. "The only balls I miss are the big orange basketballs that I used when I made the game-winning shot that got Beacon Hills High a nice big shiny trophy."

"You won't be singing that song when the boys finally make our championship and our bigger, shinier trophy is put in front of your pathetic one."

They were toe-to-toe now, equal amounts of fury in their veins as their walls of stubbornness collided.

"I find that hard to believe, considering your team has to carry all your dead weight around."

"You and me, one on one. I'll show you who's dead weight," Derek challenged.

"Name the time and place, Hale. I'll flatten your ass into the ground."

"So you can make comments about my ass, but I can't make comments about yours?"

"You'd have to have an ass to be offended by it. You're as flat as a pancake."

"Give me my damn shoes, Angie!"

"I didn't take them, Derek!"

"That's a lie, and we both know it."

"Considering you're nothing but a boneheaded jock, I find that hard to believe."
