"You feeling any better, Rinne bear?" I Hum, rubbing circles over the girls back. We've been flying for a few hours at this point, Ah-Un soaring though the air at their fastest speed.
Rin didn't answer my question, though I felt her twist the fabric of my kimono she kept a firm in a firm, clinging grip. she's been silent since we took off, just clinging to me while hiding her face in my chest.
"I know somethings on your mind Hun..." I soothed "At this rate, Ah-Un will bring us to Sesshomaru by early morning. And I don't want you going asleep upset. I want you waking up bright eyed and bushy tailed, excited to see our grumpy demon lord, hm?" My lips twitch up hearing her giggle at my description of him.
I loosen my grip when I feel her move to look at me. her eyes red and puffy, some tears still clinging to her lashes.
"Oh dear. Sesshomaru might level mountains if he sees you like this" I tutted, using my sleeve to clean her face. we're both silent as I work, I observe the whirlwind of emotions in her eyes.
"...I'm sorry I made us leave..." Her voice was barely above a whisper I had to strain my ears to hear her.
I breathe deeply, pulling her against me "oh Rin. Theres no need to apologize. I'm not upset and you didn't do anything wrong, ok? You were overwhelmed and you threw a tantrum to let out your emotions. You're just a kid, its ok for you to have a bit of a meltdown" I nuzzle the top of her head, feeling her finally start to relax "Now try to get yourself some sleep"

Throughout the night I was able to get a few power naps in but could not comfortably fall asleep fully while flying.
The sun was just peeking over the horizon when I started to doze again 'maybe one more nap.....' My eyes droop a bit as I hunch to a more stable position.
Not even a minute after my eyes close, Ah-Un began to descend which startled both me and Rin awake.
"Haaaah..." I groan, forcing my eyes open to see a familiar white blur in the distance. said white blur was also in the sky (though lower than us) and heading in our direction.
I sit up straight with Rin grumbling about it being early. I nudge her before she could try to go back to sleep "Rinne. Someone's coming to meet us" I chuckle, watching her try to process what I just said in her half-asleep mind.
"Some...One?" She echoed, rubbing a fist against her eye. It took her a second and I'm glad I had a good grip on her, as she whipped around to look in the direction we were headed "Lord Sesshomaru!!!" She squealed, squirming in my arms.
A tight feeling coils in my chest the closer we get. I can see him clearer, stoic faced as ever, flying with Jaken clinging to the tail end of his fur.
I slowly let go of Rin once I see we are close enough to the demon lord and the treetops. I grab ahold of Ah-Uns reins to take the lead, pulling the reins back to slow us down.
A soft rumble comes from my throat as a take in the sight of him now just feet away from me. we slowly circle each other in the air, Sesshomaru doing the same his eyes scanning my face with heated intensity.
No words were said. yet the two small companions on each side could see the muted conversation between the two men.
A gentle smile graced my lips, and I tug on the reins, turning the beast to land in the forest below us. Sesshomaru, as if tethered to the Kizoku, followed right behind. His eyes never straying from his chosen.
