Errr, trying out new ships and whatnot, request one if ya want in the comments! This be for dobbie6539 and KhristynZoeBas, who...I believe supports this ship?
I'mma become Una-
"DON'T-LIKE-MOVE-ALONG"
There. Done. Una owns that sentence now.
This goddamn ferry.
Cobalt crossed her arms, resuming her stare-off with her feet. They had been stuck on this boat for nearly two hours, and it was killing her.
And the thing that only made it worse were the people with her.
Her author, Rio, reading something on her NOOK HD- on an app called Wattpad or something like that. The girl looked tired, fiddling with the glow-in-the-dark bracelet secured around her wrist. An unfinished drawing was on the table as she flicked through the pages on her tablet.
A mindless idiot, Zygrado, happily enjoying the bag of sandwiches half of them decided to give to him. An empty bottle of Fanta and water stood on the table as he scarfed down his third sandwich.
Her childhood friend and hacker, Kishiko. She was half-asleep, leaning on Zygrado- who seemed to be completely fine with it. But slits of green could be seen through her eyelashes, and Cobalt was well aware she was awake.
And then there was someone who was actually asleep.
Zyicho was slouched over on the window, his head settled on his crossed arms. The bags were quite easy to see under his eyes, despite the bangs of silver hair that covered portions of the lines.
Zygrado cast a worried glance at Zyicho, then Kishiko, then his eyes flicked to the window. "Should we wake them up? We're like twenty minutes away from...."
Rio yawned, cupping her hand over her mouth. "Go ahead...I'm not stopping you," her head dropped again, turning off the nook with a press of a button.
Poke.
Poke.
"I'm awake, dammit!" Cobalt snapped, swatting his hand away. "Go wake Kishiko!"
He leaned back in surprise, raising his hands in surrender. Cobalt scowled, turning her attention back to the window.
OoO
"I'm tired of walking..." Zygrado whined, and Rio whirled on him, striking him with a back-hand across the face.
A silence settled over the group, and all that was heard was the thrumming
"Shut up! I have to do this at least twice a year, probably more!"
Before she could slap the silver-hair again, Zyicho caught her wrist.
"That's enough."
Rio glared at him, and Kishiko crossed her arms then sighed in defeat. She slid between two, gently unlocking the lock Zyicho had on the author.
Cobalt flicked a glance in his direction. Despite the heavy sleepiness lurking behind his golden eyes, Zyicho had a rather dark look in them.
"Why don't you guys go...cool off?" Kishiko suggested, pushing in the small of their backs to direct them to the pair of seats in the other cab.
The two obeyed, and the redhead followed, but not before glancing behind her. "You'll guys be okay?"
"This is going to be a damn long ride," Zyicho commented, leaning forward on his arms to prop them up on the table as he nodded in response to Kishiko's words.
"It will. But its in a train, with a café and everything," she agreed, scratching at her cheek.
"I'm tired," he mumbled, his eyes closing shut. Cobalt studied him for a bit before turning her gaze to the window once more.
"Then go to sleep."
"I'm not that stupid....I'm...doing that..right now..." his tone dipped in volume towards the end, sleepiness edging into his voice.
Sleep wouldn't be that bad right now...Cobalt growled in her head, but I can't sleep upright.
"You're tired too?"
Surprised, her gaze flashed over to him. His eyes were still closed, but there wasn't a doubt it was him. A smirk flickered over his lips at the silence that greeted him.
"Same problem as our Author? She can't sleep upright either."
Scowling fiercely despite the fact he couldn't see it, Cobalt huffed and crossed her arms, refusing to answer.
"You'll fall asleep sometime."
OoO
Nearly two hours later (the group were really to lazy to do all the crap for a plane), Zygrado, Kishiko, and Rio came out of the café. The author was enjoying the bag of Cheetos she managed to get, and for free. It had been left alone on the counter.
Despite how she knew it could be 'dangerous' to her.
"Author-san," Kishiko nudged her. "Look."
"Mm?"
Zygrado clamped a hand over his mouth to stifle the upcoming laughter. "And she said she would never fall for him," he hissed, still trying to stop the chuckles.
Rio finished off her bag, licking her cheese-powdered fingertips before stepping back.
"Leave them alone," she decided, gazing at the other two 'members' of their group.
"They look cute together when they're sleeping," Kishiko commented, her bright green eyes flicking down to stare at Cobalt's hand resting in Zyicho's outstretched palm.
"Yeah."
