Oh hEYo Beyblade idea. This is the same timeline as Lion's Pride, and surrounds one of my OCs. You guys have already met her if you read Lion's Pride.

A swirling pit of blackness, speckled with white,  greeted me when I first allowed myself to see.

I was, at first, afraid, that I would be blind. The noises, the shrieks, the lights, the pain- they all combined together to create a horrifying dream.

But it did not seem that way. I could see myself in the glittering sheet of flecks and negative area.

My frame was trembling, skin worn thin on my bones as glassy pools of dark brown stared back at me.

The shattered look in them scared me. I seemed broken beyond repair, as if I was a malfunctioning recorder who only played sadness over and over again.

Reaching out a hand, I pushed against a cool surface. The area in front of me rippled, fading away as the image of space took its place instead.

Standing above open air, nothing was present beneath my feet. It felt like I did have something below them, along with some fine fabric, but the only thing really near my bare feet was the white nightgown I was wearing.

Then the music.

It was chilling yet beautiful at the same time. As space seemed to close behind me, the music guided me forward, enveloping me in a warm embrace as I walked.

It stopped the instant I saw the man.

A reflection was below his feet- I would have mistaken it for another man if not for the fact that their feet seemed to be glued together.

The one facing me had light purple, almost silver hair, cocking his head to the side as he folded his silver-robed arms across one another.

I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. It felt like there was an absence where my larynx would be.

He didn't say anything, just studied me with intelligent blue eyes the same hue of the night sky on a clear night.

Then he beckoned me closer with a tan hand.

When I stood a small distance away from him, the man beneath our feet rippled before disappearing entirely. The last glimpse I caught of him was him with an agonizing smirk before fading away.

He lowered his hand, only when I stood less then a meter from him.

"Do I know you?"

I shook my head. He pursed his lips, seeming deep in thought.

"Ah... How interesting... I've always believed in the fact that, in dreams, if you see someone, you, in the very least, have seen their face before."

I analyzed him, taking in the confident way he held himself, the soft gleam in his eyes, the curve of his lips, and the cock of his head.

Then I shook my head.

He only blinked, as space seemed to crack behind him. Webbed cracks slithered across the vast area of space, slivers of white peeking through.

"No? Very well, perhaps we shall meet in the future. It is what the stars see fit."

Just like that, the robed man was gone, leaving behind a cold feeling rooted in my veins.

His presence was warm, solid- and
now that it was gone, I felt like I was lost in a barren field.

The fractures began to grow larger, the area now more white then anything else.

"K-Kimi! Kimi! Can you hear me?"

The voice was in panic- trembling and uneven.

Kimi? Is that my name?

All color vanished in an instant, only leaving behind a stinging in the back of my eyelids. Soon, blue and peach seeped in as I was suddenly aware of the thin material behind my fingertips.

After that, I noticed the prickle in my arm, like an I.V.

My eyes flickered open, and the burn caused me to wince and close them again. For a split second, I saw that man again before it faded into white.

A boy hovered over my head, his face expressing concern. "Kimi!"

I released a small mumble in reply, slowly tilting my head to the side to peer at the walls of the room.

"You look confused," he remarked. "Do you think you're up to talking?"

I shook my head, then stopped as my thoughts slammed into the sides of my skull, pain crawling across my mind.

"Okay. I'll be in the other room. Call my name if you need me, okay?"

With that, he left, without even telling me his name.

"It is what the stars see fit."

What if you challenge what the stars say?

If anyone's interested, the boy is Grayson Grant, one of the characters in Lion's Pride who uses... Dark Virgo, I think?
