"Unbelievable," Alice eyed the trio in front of her. Gerald hovered near her elbow, holding Mo's forearm as he inspected the second-degree burn.
"Yeah, I know- we're am-" Mo sucked in a breath. "That hurts, Gerald...ow..."
"-azing." Lynn finished, casting a worried look at her boyfriend as the medic peered at his burn.
At that, Alice raised an eyebrow at the scout. "Amazing enough to get your hair fried, I suppose?"
Lynn flushed, her hands raking through her hair to comb it down. "Sh-Shut up! Cas, tell them!"
"I must say, what we did was reckless," Casper mused, rubbing his jaw, but didn't look up to meet Alice's burning gaze. "A mistake here and there."
She glanced at them out of the corner of her eye, watching as Gerald finished tending to Mo's burn.
"A mistake here and there?" The African-American medic questioned, then moved on to inspect the burn on Casper's temple.
Grinning sheepishly, Mo lazily ran a hand through his brown hair. "Ali, we just..."
"You set fire to the Empire State Building, for heaven's sake! By overheating your toasters!"
"Whoops?"
