Jodha was arranging flowers before Kanha's idol when Moti Bai entered her chamber hurriedly.

"Jodha Begum, a message has arrived for you."

Jodha looked up in surprise.

"For us?"

Moti Bai nodded and handed her a folded letter.

Jodha carefully opened it. The moment she read the contents, her expression changed.

The letter was from Sharifuddin.

He requested an urgent meeting and claimed to possess information regarding a grave danger to the Emperor's life.

Jodha frowned.

Sharifuddin had betrayed Jalal's trust in the past. He was imprisoned for his crimes. Why would he suddenly wish to help now?

Yet the mention of Jalal's life being in danger troubled her deeply.

That night, unable to ignore the warning, Jodha disguised herself and secretly made her way toward the prison.

The guards stepped aside immediately upon recognizing the chief queen.

Sharifuddin was waiting inside his cell.

He bowed respectfully as Jodha approached. Although he was elated to see that his plan worked and also he got blessed to see Jodha again to relive his memories of her so that it will help him fantasize her more.

"You wished to meet us?" Jodha asked coldly.

Sharifuddin nodded.
"Yes, Jodha Begum. I know I have no right to ask for your trust. But what I am about to tell you concerns the safety of the Shahenshah."

Jodha remained silent.

Sharifuddin continued.
"Abu Mali is gathering men in secret. He has not abandoned his desire for the Mughal throne. He is planning an attack against the Shahenshah."

Jodha's eyes widened.
"Are you certain?"

"I would not risk summoning you here if I were not."

"Then why have you not informed the Shahenshah directly?"

Sharifuddin lowered his gaze.
"Because he would never believe me. Nor would he agree to meet me."

Jodha could not deny the truth in his words.

After a moment, she asked, "Do you possess any proof?"

"Not yet. But my sources are reliable. Abu Mali's men are already moving."

Jodha's heart grew heavy.

Whatever differences existed between her and Jalal, she could never ignore a threat to his life.

"If this information proves false..." she began.

"It is not false, Jodha Begum."

Sharifuddin's voice was unusually sincere.

"I have made many mistakes. But Bakshi Bano is still my wife, and the Shahenshah is still her brother. I do not wish harm upon him."

Jodha studied him carefully.

For the first time, she sensed genuine concern in his words.

Without another word, she turned to leave.

As she walked through the prison corridor, countless thoughts filled her mind.

Should she tell Jalal immediately?

Would he believe information that came through Sharifuddin?

Or would he misunderstand her intentions yet again?

The next morning, Jodha remained restless.

At court, Jalal appeared occupied with matters of the empire.

Several times she considered approaching him.

Several times she stopped herself.

Their relationship was already strained.

Mentioning a secret meeting with Sharifuddin would only create more questions.

From across the court, Jalal noticed her unusual silence.

For reasons he could not explain, her troubled expression disturbed him.

And far away, beyond the walls of Agra, Abu Mali's men continued preparing for a conspiracy that would soon put both the Emperor and Jodha's loyalty to the ultimate test.
