I stayed between her legs until she was shaking and tapping my shoulder. Only then I slowed down, kissing the inside of her thighs and wiping my mouth on the back of my hand before crawling up her body.

Glo was laid out looking at the ceiling like she just seen God.

"You good?" I asked, voice low.

She nodded slow then looked at me. "You really wasn't playing."

"Told you I aim to please."

I laid beside her and pulled her into my chest. She didn't fight it this time. Just tucked her face in my neck and let me rub her back.

We stayed like that a minute. Her breathing evened out. My hand kept moving slow over her skin.

"You still mad about Flo?" I asked after a while.

She sucked her teeth. "Don't start."

"I'm just saying. I left a live and drove over here with flowers and all that. You still think I'm playing?"

She was quiet. Then she mumbled, "You lucky you can eat like that."

I laughed. "That's all I get?"

"For now."

I kissed the top of her head. "Aight. I'll take it."
She shifted and looked up at me. "You really don't be needing nothing back?"

"I didn't say I don't want nothing. I said I don't need it to feel like I did something. Different."
She stared at me for a second then sat up a little.

"Take your shirt off."

I raised an eyebrow. "You giving orders now?"

"You heard what I said."

I pulled it off. She climbed in my lap, still naked, and just sat there looking at me like she was studying something.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing. You just look different when you not talking shit."

"I look the same."

"Nah. You look like you actually mean it when you say you love her."

I didn't even try to play it off. "I do."

She rolled her eyes but she was smiling. "You just met me."

"And I already know I don't want nobody else in my face. That's enough for me."

She leaned in and kissed me again, slower this time. When she pulled back she was quiet for a second.

"Don't make me look stupid, T."

"I won't."

I woke up first.

T was still knocked out, one arm thrown over my waist like she paid rent on me. I just stared at her for a minute. Tall ass, grill, tattoos, looking peaceful as hell.

I hated how easy it felt.

I slid out the bed quiet, threw on her T-shirt, and went to the kitchen. Started eggs and turkey bacon like I lived here. I don't even cook for people like that.

My phone started blowing up on the counter.

Latto: so y'all finally did it or you still playing?

Megan: T said she was pulling up last night. You good?

I left them on read and kept cooking.

T walked in a few minutes later wearing just her boxers, hair a little messy, looking at me like I was the one who owed her something.

"You cooking?"

"Don't get used to it."

She came up behind me anyway, arms around my waist, chin on my shoulder.

"Smells good."

"Move before I burn it."

She didn't move. Just kissed my neck once and let me finish.

We ate at the counter. She kept looking at me like she was waiting for me to say something first.

"What?" I asked.

"You gone act brand new in the daytime?"

"I'm eating."

"You know what I mean."

I put my fork down. "What you want me to say? That I like you? That I been thinking about you since April 7th? That I don't usually let nobody get this close this fast?"

She just nodded. "Yeah. That."

I looked away. "Don't make it a big deal."

"It is a big deal to me."

I didn't have nothing cute to say back so I just ate.
After we finished she took the plates and started washing them herself. I sat there watching her.
"You really don't be hanging with your crew like that no more?" I asked.

"Not when I got something better to do."

"And I'm something better?"

She looked over her shoulder. "You the only thing I wanna do right now."

I hated how that made my stomach jump.

Later that night she took me out for real. Not shopping. Not wings in a parking lot. An actual dinner. Private section. No phones on the table.
She ordered for both of us without asking and I let her.

Halfway through she reached in her jacket and slid a small box across the table.

I already knew what it was before I opened it.

Patek.

I just stared at it.

"You for real?"

"I told you I was gone come hard."

I looked up at her. "You know people gone talk."

"Let 'em. I don't want to keep it on the low anyway."

I put the watch on slow. It fit perfect.

"You extra as hell," I said.

"And you still wearing it."

I couldn't even argue.

When we left she held my hand in public like it wasn't nothing. I didn't pull away.

In the car she looked over at me at a red light.

"You mine now. You know that right?"

I looked out the window so she wouldn't see me smiling too hard.

"We'll see how long you last."

She chuckled. "I'm not going nowhere, Glo. I love you."

I didn't say it back yet.

But I didn't tell her to stop saying it either.
