Chapter 15 : Slowly Fading Away

Jenna's Pov
"Want to take a stroll around the neighbourhood?" TOP gave a suggestion.
"Sure." I agreed as we got nothing better to do.
"Let's go this way?" I pointed the direction.

He took a glance at the direction that I was pointing to and he agreed to go. As we were walking, I saw beautiful houses built along the way. I did enjoy the cool breeze that blows towards us.

"Jenna." He called my name and hold my hand.

I stopped at my tracks and looked at him in the eyes.

"Yes?" I asked politely.

He seemed to feel down about something which I am unsure of.

I started to feel curious of what made him to be like that and listened carefully of what he was going to say.

"I'm going to another country for filming." He finally spoke.
"And it will be for a few months." He added.
"I know." I said and he gave me a confuse look.
"Who told you?" He asked.
"Of course I know cause I'm going with you and I'm in charge of doing hairstyles for the actors and actresses." I explained.
"Really?" His face lit up with excitement.
"Yup." I replied and gave him a bright smile.
"Does Jiyong knows?" He questioned me.
"No but I'll tell him." I replied.
"Let's head back to your house. It's going to rain soon." I looked up at the sky and it was getting darker.
"Ya, let's go." I said and we headed off.

Jiyong's Pov
Finally I finished my work and I could go home. First thing that popped up in my mind was Jenna. I wondered how is she doing. I hoped her head is in a better condition now. I quickly got into my car before anyone approaches me.

As I was driving, I saw a heavy traffic ahead of me. Now, I got to slow down my car each minute because of the traffic and the wheather. Since I was extremely bored, I decided to message Jenna randomly.

Me : I'm coming to your house soon.
Jenna : Come quick! I've got good news and bad news for you.
Me : Why don't you text me the news.
Jenna : I'd rather talk to you face to face cause the whole day I never get to see you nor talk to you.
Me : Ok but I'm in a heavy traffic right now.
Jenna : Oh..So around what time will you come over?
Me : Maybe around 7.
Jenna : I can wait. ^^
Me : Don't force yourself. Get some rest.
Jenna : I would rather watch movies.
Me : Ok fine. Do anything you like as long you don't hurt yourself.
Jenna : Yes boss!
Me : See ya later Jennie!
Jenna : JIYONG! -_-

After messaging her, I felt a smile crept on my face and I slightly chuckled. I put down my phone and concentrate back on the road.

After 2 hours of driving, I finally arrived at her place and my eyes suddenly caught the sight of TOP's car. Somehow, I started to have negative feelings towards him even though he did nothing bad to me except that day.

I quickly went out of the car and knocked a few times on Jenna's frontdoor. I waited for a minute and finally, someone opened the door.

"Jiyong!" Jenna hugged me tightly.

I hugged her back tightly because I miss her even though I would see her everyday.

"You're just in time for dinner. Come." She closed the door and dragged me to the kitchen.

When we arrived at the kitchen, I saw TOP placing scrumptious food and the utensils on the table.

"Hey bro!" He greeted me.
"Hey." I greeted back and spread a fake smile to show that I am glad to see him.

We sat on the dining chairs and started to eat and drink. I ate the food deliciously as the food was tasty and I was starving as hell.

Then, Jenna started a conversation.

"Ji, do you remember about me wanting to tell you something?" She said, looking both excited and unhappy.
"Is it about the news you're talking about?" I asked as I was a little confused.
"Yup. It is." She replied.
"Tell me." I said.
"The good news is...I'm going to other country to do hairstyles for the actors and actresses for the new movie. And I'll get paid!" She told me excitedly.
"The bad news?" I said, starting to feel unnecessary feelings.
"The bad news is...I won't be seeing you for a few months and I'll be lonely." She gave me a sad puppy look.

Before I could comfort Jenna, TOP interrupted me. Aish!

"You won't be lonely. You have me." He comforted her.

I looked elsewhere pretending that scene had never happened right in front of my eyes.

"So you're coming along with her." I said and TOP nodded his head.

I felt a wave of jealousy overcome me as he would spend almost all the time with her and one day, he might give me his wedding invitation card.

Gosh, why am I being so childish and immature?

"I better clean this up." I got up from my seat and cleared the empty plates on thr table.

Jenna and TOP helped out cleaning up after they had finished their meals. Afterwards, both of them went to the living-room, leaving me behind. Then, I decided to eavesdrop again.

"I think I'll leave since Jiyong can accompany you." He said.
"Can't you stay a little bit longer?" She asked pleadingly.
"I can't. I have a lot of things to do. Especially the packing." He explained.
"You also need to spend time with Jiyong before you leave. Besides, both of you are always close." He added.
"You're right. Bye then." She gave him a quick peck of kiss and waved him goodbye.

I clenched my fist and continued
cleaning up in silence. My mind kept rewinding the scene where Jenna kissed him and forcefully convince me to forget her. I pushed all the negative thoughts away and went to the living-room once he left the house.

Jenna's Pov
I sat down on the sofa, feeling exhausted and sleepy at the same time.

"When are you leaving?" Jiyong asked when he sat on the sofa.
"This Sunday. Why?" She replied.
"Nothing." He said gloomly.
"Ji, stop hiding things from me. You're bad at it." I told him.
"Whatever. I just miss you." He said while rolling his eyes.
"Aww! Ji, you're so sweet." I gave him a hug and we stayed like that for a minute.
"Jenna, I have a surprise for you." We broke the hug and I seemed to be very curious.
"Can I know?" I asked excitedly.
"No, you can't." He told me and pinched my cheeks.
"Ji! Let go!" I said loudly, feeling annoyed.
"You're just too cute!" He told me and let go of my poor red cheeks.
"It's going to be swollen if you keep doing it." I pouted and rubbed my cheeks gently.
"No. It won't." He said confidently.
"Yes, it will." I defended myself.
"Jenna, I've been with you for so many years and your cheeks are still fine as always." He told me, not showing any concern about my cheeks.

This kid must have a taste of it! I thought evily.

"Let me try it on you!" I pinched his cheeks quickly before he could escape from me.
"Owww! Let go!" He said in pain.

I let go of his cheeks and laughed hysterically.

"Your cheeks are as red as a tomato." I joked and laughed more.
"Yah! You do it so hard!" He pouted. "Hmmm. Whatever." I said.
"Tomorrow is Saturday right?" He asked to confirm the day.
"Yup." I replied.
"I bet you're gonna have a fun time with TOP." He smirked.
"Wait...What?" I asked him, feeling puzzled.
"Don't act like you don't know." He said.

I felt my cheeks were hot and I could feel butterflies fluttering around in my stomach.

"I don't know." I lied, holding my smile.
"I know that you're his girlfriend." He caught me offguard.
"H-how did you know?!" I qiverred.
"Well, I saw your quick kiss." He wiggled his eyebrows and it made me blush.
"Jiyong ah! Stop it." I scolded him.

He giggled and enjoyed teasing me.

"But seriously Jiyong. I really need you to keep this as a very big secret." I looked at him nervously.
"Of course I won't. Even if I'm drunk." He promised.
"I trust you Ji." I said it meaningly.
"I better go home. I'm really exhausted today." He yawned and walked towards the door.

I followed him from behind and opened the door for him.

"Goodnight." He said tiredly. "Goodnight Ji. Have a good sleep!" I waved at him as he walks away.
