"No, no, kid-hold that wire steady!"

Tony Stark's sharp voice filled the lab, making Peter freeze mid-soldering. His fingers twitched, almost burning himself as he tried to fix the wirings inside the small device they were working on.

"Sorry, Tony!" Peter said quickly, adjusting his grip. He knew better than to upset his mentor, especially when it was nearing midnight, and Tony's patience was wearing thin.

Tony pinched the bridge of his nose. "Parker, you're a genius-hell, I even like you most of the time-but sometimes, I wonder if sleep deprivation makes you dumber."

Peter groaned. "That's so not fair. You're the one who told me, and I quote, 'Real engineers don't sleep until the job's done.'"

Tony smirked. "That sounds like something I'd say. But you have a wife and two kids waiting for you upstairs. Me? I just have this godforsaken AI that refuses to laugh at my jokes."

"Sir, I'm programmed to not encourage your delusions," FRIDAY quipped.

Peter bit back a laugh as Tony shot the ceiling an annoyed glare. "Traitor."

Peter glanced at the time and sighed. 11:03 PM. You were probably already asleep with Ben and Mayday. He'd promised to come to bed early, but of course, Tony had roped him into another late-night project.

"Okay, I should go," Peter said, placing the tools down. "I'm gonna be in so much trouble."

Tony waved him off. "Yeah, yeah, go play house. But don't come crying to me when she throws something at your head for staying up too late."

"She only does that when I forget date night," Peter defended, already pulling off his lab coat. "Or when I leave my suit on the bathroom floor."

Tony snorted. "Classic rookie mistake."

With a final nod, Peter rushed out of the lab, jogging toward the elevator.

---

Peter opened the bedroom door quietly, careful not to wake anyone. The soft glow of the dim light cast a golden hue over the room. His eyes immediately landed on the bed, and his heart melted at the sight before him.

You were fast asleep, lying on your back, completely exhausted. Snuggled against one arm was Ben, his little face relaxed in slumber. In the crook of your other arm, six-month-old Mayday was nestled against your chest, her tiny lips still latched onto your nipple, fast asleep mid-feed.

Peter exhaled a quiet chuckle, warmth spreading through his chest. This-this was his entire world. His beautiful wife. His perfect kids.

He pulled out his phone and, being the dork he was, snapped a picture. He'd probably get smacked for it later, but it was so worth it.

Then, moving carefully, Peter reached out and gently unlatched Mayday. She stirred for a second, a soft whimper escaping her, but Peter rocked her slightly, whispering, "Shh, shh, baby, I got you."

Mayday settled almost instantly.

"That's my girl," Peter murmured, cradling her against his chest for a moment before placing her in the crib beside your bed.

Next was Ben. Peter carefully peeled the five-year-old off your arm, scooping him up effortlessly. The little boy groaned sleepily, burrowing his face into Peter's shoulder.
