Skylar's POV

"So," I said, sipping from my tea. "Toronto was fabulous."

"It was?" Niall asked.

"Yeah," I admitted. "My job is awesome, and guess who I ran into? Dominique came in looking for an interview!"

Niall's mouth fell open. "DOMINIQUE WALTERS?"

"The one and only," I said, smiling.

"But you two hate each other," Niall said, confused.

I laughed. "We did. After the interview, we filled each other in, and it turns out she and Jess are besties. And we made up."

"It's about freaking time," Niall said, shaking his head.

"Yeah, I guess," I said, letting my teacup rest on the table. "Niall, why did you call me here?"

"I want to start again," he said boldly.

My eyebrows went high. "How?"

Niall flushed slightly. "I want to go back to, you know, when we were still happy together, being together."

"I'm always happy when I'm around you," I said honestly. "But lately, not so much."

Niall hung his head. "I know, and you have every right to be upset with me. I take full responsibility for my actions."

"You sound like Ashlyn," I said, shaking my head.

Niall shrugged. "Don't care."

"So what are you suggesting?" I asked.

"Will you go out with me?" Niall asked hopefully.

I hesitated. 

"Please?" he added.

I couldn't say no to those eyes. "All right," I said finally. 

His eyes lit up. "Awesome! I'll pick you up at 6. Dress comfy, 'kay?"

"You got it," I said.

The two of us left the teashop.

Niall's POV

"SHE SAID YES!" I yelled at Louis, who flinched. "YOUR IDEA WORKED!"

"First off, calm down. Second, congrats, man!" Louis said, smiling. "What did you do?"

"I asked her straight up," I replied.

"Good decision," Louis said, grinning.

"It's all thanks to you, mate," I said, smiling.

"I'm a genuis, I know," Louis joked.

I punched him lightly. "Dude, really?"

"What?" Louis asked. "Whatever. Besides, why's she back in the States?"

"Who knows?" I said. "I just got right down to it."

Louis shook his head. "Clueless, as usual."

"All she said was that she ran into some of our old high school friends in Toronto and that she'd agree to go on a date with me," I said, shrugging.

"Oh, okay," Louis said. "What time are you picking her up?"

"6," I said.

Louis choked. "6? I think you need to take a look at the clock, mate."

I did as I was told and nearly fainted. "5:30? SHIT, I'VE GOTTA RUN!"
