Chapter 31

Caroline's POV

We are all currently sitting in the doctors office waiting for Cameron.

    He gets his cast off today which means I get mine off next week.

Finally after about 2 long hours of us all vining in a doctors office and almost getting kicked out he's ready.

  "Hey babe" he said lacing his fingers with mine. I smiled the entire way out.
   When we got back to the hotel we had to pack. Shawn was taking a shower while I was packing.

I could still hear the shower running so I started to sing a little.
The first song that came to my head was Shawn's song never be alone.

"I promise that one day
I'll be around
I'll keep you safe I'll keep you sound
Right now it's pretty crazy
And I don't know how to stop or slow it down
Hey,
I know there are some things we need to talk about
And I can't stay
So let me hold you for a little longer now"

When I reached the chorus I could hear him join in from behind me.
I never even heard him get out the shower.
  He grabbed my hand and we danced while he sang. Which was harder than I thought with one hand.

   When we finished we were both slightly out of breath.

"You sing at tomorrow's show or I tell everyone"

I didn't even have time to respond before he was out the door.

   After sitting on my bed crying my eyes out for 20 minutes I grabbed my bags and went downstairs.

"Finally! How many bags do have girl?" Nash asked me.

I gave a slight smile and walked over to Sam.
  Cameron seemed hurt by this but he's gonna be shattered when he finds out who I am.

  It's better to just pull myself away now.
"I need to talk to you" I whispered to Sam as we were walking to the bus.
She looked at be with confused eyes.

    I pulled her to the back bedroom and locked the door.
And I told her everything.

"Okay so you have to sing with the lights on or he will tell everyone who you are?" She asked.

"Yeah pretty much."

She looked deep in thought.

  "Okay, you got this" she simply said and stood up.

"What? That's it?" I asked getting scared.
"Yeah that's it. Caroline you deserve recognition." She said.

  I nodded. I really just wanted to be alone right now.
"You coming?" She asked opening the door.
I shook my head climbing up on the bed.
After she left my phone went off.

I had a message from Cameron and you can probably guess by now "my biggest fan"

I read Cameron's first:
"What's wrong? Did I do something? If so I'm sorry

  Why did he have to be so amazing.
I texted him back telling him I was just tired.

Then I read the next one:

Why were you crying? Your eyes were extremely red:( ~your biggest fan

I turned my phone off and pulled the covers up. The door opened and Cameron came in.

"Can I lay with you?" He asked.
I'm trying to stay away I really am.

But instead I nodded.
He climbed in and hugged me from behind. He pulled me into his arms.

We were like this for awhile. I was just staring at the wall.
After awhile I heard him whisper.

"Everything's gonna be okay in the end."

I wasn't sure if he thought I was sleeping, but I didn't say anything.

He couldn't see my face, but we both fell asleep to my silent tears.
