Chapter 20

Caroline's POV 

  "What are you guys doing here?" I asked concerned.

"Oh Cameron stepped on a can and he's getting stitches" Shawn said.

He actually sang that last word.

  "Mam, please come with me" she said getting impatient.

"Sam will tell you what happened with me" I said turning to follow.

"You are in here with another patient, but the doctor is in there" she said taking to a room with 2 beds across from each other.

  She took me in, but I couldn't see the other person because the sheet was around them.

  Then a rough looking doctor walked out and pulled the sheets back.

"Well hey there Cameron" I said smiling at him.

It foot looked really bad.

  "Hey miss Caroline let's take a look at that hand" the doctor said pulling up a stool.

  Cameron watched me intently.
"Okay I don't think we need X-rays because it is obviously broken" he said writing something down.

  "I am going to go get your cast and sling, and your crutches" he yelled to Cam.

Then it was just me and Cameron.

"So what happened?" He finally asked.
"Oh I fell and landed on my hand" I said holding it up.

  "Was it just a fall, or did someone or something trip you?" He asked.

I know what he is thinking.

"It was just a fall Cameron" I said.

  "They already told me what happened to you" I said nodding towards his foot.

  He seemed so off and distant for some reason.

  "I'm all packed for tour" I said trying to fill the awkward silence.

  "Cool it should be fun."

   Thank goodness the doctor came back.

He went to Cameron first.
Then he put my cast and sling on then gave me a prescription for the pain.

  I stood up and held the door for Cameron.

"Here let me get -" I started trying to open the other door for him.

"I don't need your help" he snapped.
 

Woah

I was used to getting snapped at but I wasn't expecting him to.
  He held his hand up to me and I flinched and closed my eyes.

Waiting for him to hit me.
But he didn't.
  I opened my eyes and he looked shocked.

"Did you think I was gonna hit you?" He asked coming closer.

"I don't know, your mad so I just thought that" I didn't even finish.

  I think he knew already.

  All of a sudden he leaned in a little closer.
He looked at my lips then to my eyes.
The only thing from letting our bodies touch was his crutches.

He leaned in centimeters from my face when Nash busted through the door.

"Oh there you are! Here let me help you guys" he said holding the door open.

  Cameron looked at me one more time before going out into the waiting room.

  Was Cameron Dallas about to kiss me ?

     We were all out in the waiting room trying to figure if we wanted pizza or Chinese when I got a text.

  It was from the unknown number.

  Hope your hand feels better soon, and don't worry in the end you will get the guy you like :) but I see your still letting your friend steal your thunder. It's a shame :/ XOXO ~ your biggest fan

  I looked up to see who was on their phones, but none of the boys that I could see were.

  "Alright pizza here we come!" Nash yelled.

    Cameron fell behind so he was walking next to me.
  I look up and Sam is winking at me.
 
  "Listen I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier, but you need to know I would never hit you Caroline" he put his hand on my good arm and stopped us.

  "Never" he said looking me straight in the eye.

  I nodded and smiled.

" I know" I said and began walking again.

  I wasn't surprised he didn't bring up the almost kiss, but I was actually hoping he would.

  After pizza we had to say goodbye to Sam's dad.

  "Thank you for everything" I said hugging him.
He was honestly a father to me.

"Have fun girls, but not to much fun" he said.
  He even gave Mahogany a hug goodbye.

"You girls ready to turn up!" Sam yelled loud enough so her dad heard before he got into his car.

  We were outside the hotel, we haven't even been in yet so we aren't sure what rooms we are even in.

   "So here are the room arrangements" Bart yelled standing on one of the benches.

  We have:

  Cam Nash
Matt Carter
Taylor Shawn
Jack and Jack
Mahogany Caroline and Sam
The other sam with hayes
Aaron and Jacob

  "Mahogany you guys have the room with the one big bed and the one little bed in it" he said handing her 3 room keys.
 

  "Now before you leave, tomorrow I need everyone down here at 9, the meet and greet starts at 9:30 then you guys perform" he said.

  Once we get to the room the first thing I do is jump on the bed.

This tour should be fun.

"Wait so is the girl in the shadows, no longer gonna be in the shadows or??" Mahogany questioned.

I haven't even thought about that.

"Why don't we have security at the light switches, and I just sing in the dark?" I question.

"That's actually not a bad idea" mahogany said.

Either way it has to work.
  

  "When people ask you why your there at the meet and greet just say your assistant DJ's" Mahogany said before slipping on her shoes.

  "Let's go talk to security" she said.

"We need to make sure you have one so that no fans accidentally hit your arm" she told me.

We waited for the elevator to arrive for about 10 minutes.

Finally it comes and Cameron is in there.

   They let me go first.
"Wait I forgot our passes!" Mahogany yelled and grabbed Sam's hand before leaving the now closed elevator door.

  Leaving me and Cameron in the elevator alone.
