Chapter 46

Caroline's POV

Sneaking into the hotel was a lot harder than I thought.

Hundreds of people who didn't have tickets were outside. Many of them had signs with get well caroline on them and I almost cried.

The best part about Magcon is the fans. They are absolutely amazing in any and every situation.

After sneaking through the back I went up the stairs to Mahogany's room to get ready. I already knew what I was singing thankfully.
I sat on the bed before heading down. What if Nash gets mad that I didn't call him?

I can't lose him and it's too late now so this song has to fix everything.
Never in a million years would I think me an Nash would be together.

After almost chickening out I decided to call security and just go for it.

The plan was, a guard is coming up to get me and security will turn the lights off and I would run up to the stage.
Mahogany is going to get the boys in the crowd right before I go up.

It's risky but I have no other choice. I'm standing right outside the ballroom doors and I feel like I'm about to pass out.

"You ready?" Chuck my security guard asked.

I took one more deep breath before shaking my head yes. I could hear screams from the fans because of the lights turning off.

It's showtime.
I ran up to the stage thankfully not bumping into anyone. I whistled to let Mahogany know I was ready and she began the music.

I was singing holding out for a hero by Ella Mae Bowen.

Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds ?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream of what I need

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
He's gotta be fast

When I finished the song the boys ran up to me and engulfed me in a hug.

I raised the mic and was about to thank Nash for being my hero before I realized he was holding hands with another girl.
  And she wasn't a fan.

I gave him a quick glance before turning to the crowd.

"I love each and every one of you so much!" I yelled.

We all went backstage and I just wanted to leave and cry myself to sleep.
I thought once I was back everything would be perfect. Nash and I would be together and it would be a perfect tour.

But no.

"It's always something isn't it?" I said.

Everyone knew what I was talking about but all I heard was the loudest silence in history.

I walked out and was just going to run up to Mahogany's room and get my stuff.
I heard footsteps running after me and I was praying it was Nash coming tell me he only wanted me and that girl was just a fan.

  It was Cameron.

He hugged me and I cried.

You know after awhile when you have no more tears you can slowly feel everything inside you shatter.
Well there was nothing left inside me but broken pieces.

"Do you wanna go take a nap and afterwards we can all talk about everything?"
He asked.

I looked up at him and he leaned down and kissed me.

What the hell am I gonna do?
