Faith's POV
As I walked down the damp brick sidewalk, I wondered about Erik and I's relationship. Even though I've only known him for two days now, it seemed like we have known each other forever. Almost like...He has been waiting for me.
I shook my head. 'Nonsense! He didn't even know who I was when I came. I think it's just because he's been alone for so long, and wants company.' I know that sounds weird, but so far, it makes sense...

Erik's POV
I sat at my organ, staring at my hands in my lap. 'I can't believe it.' I ran a hand down my boney, monstrous face. 'I have a friend...My first, true, loyal friend.' 'Faith accepted me for who I am. Of course, I've only known her for two days, but I feel a connection. Something strange.'
Faith. Her name fits her well. She is a strong, independent, witty, caring young woman. I never expected to have a 15 year old girl from the future, as a friend.
I ran my corpse fingers across the keys, playing a melody I've started to compose. It is soft and gentle, then crescendoes into a dark mysterious tune. It describes the angel inside her, then the darkness if you anger her. I found that out when I discovered her in the tunnels.
Speaking of tunnels, Faith should be back by now. It's been an hour. I placed my mask on my face, and hurried to the shores. I grabbed my cloak, fedora, and gloves.
I made my way to the alley. 'She said she wouldn't take long. Maybe I'm just overreacting.'
That still didn't stop me from going out. I hate showing my face in public here. People think Paris is everything. But in reality. Most Parisians don't look beneath the skin. They judge those who are different. So I will find her. In this unforgiving place called Paris. ((A/N: I have nothing against Parisians, but in the story Erik does :p I love all ppl!))
Faith's POV
I thanked the clerk, and set out to the alleyway, with my two bags of supplies. I wasn't expecting Erik to give me so much money! I thought the twenty thousand francs a month came later! ...Oh well. He could be getting money, but not that amount yet.
I cut across another alleyway to get to the Populaire tunnels.
Hah.
Wrong choice.
Three men came out of nowhere, cornering me. "Hey beautiful! Give us a good time wontcha?" I could smell the alcohol from five feet away. I set down my bags and reached into the top of my dress.
What they didn't know, is that I had a switch blade. Yes they were illegal to be sold in my time, but I got it from my grandpa before he passed. That doesn't mean that it's illegal here. They probably never even have heard of it.
I pulled it out, unlatched it, and pointed it at them. ((A/N: DO IT FOR JOHNNY, MAN! 😆😂))
The four inch blade was sharp and ready. I chuckled darkly, making myself seem more Phantom-like. I kept my head down, my hair falling into my face a little.
"Monsieur's, I'd advise not messing with me." I said. They just laughed and ran towards me. I sliced one's arm. He yelped, and cowardly ran. Leaving his buds alone with me. One threw me to the wall, and put his hand on my hip.
I made a disgusted face and stabbed him in the gut. He moaned and fell off me. The last one was close behind, and was running his hand up my dress. I went to slice him, but he took the blade.
"Haha girly, you got nothin now!" He put the blade to my throat, it was cold against my skin. He started to lift up my dress, and I heard a zipper. I tried to move, but he pushed the blade farther into my neck, making it bleed a little.
I closed my eyes and cried silently. I couldn't move without being killed. I didn't know what was worse.
Before anything horrible could happen, he was yanked off of me. I fell to the ground.
I pushed my dress down, and looked for my rescuer. I heard a crack, definitely a neck. And a thump of a lifeless body on the ground.
"Faith! Oh my god! Are you ok? Are you hurt?" Erik rushed to me, crouching down, and embracing me. I cried into his shoulder. I couldn't believe that just happened to me. He ran his hands through my hair, trying to calm my panic attack.
"C-Can we just go back home." I sniffed, and buried my face in his shirt.
"Yes, of course...Home." He lifted me up bridal style, and carried the bags on his hip. He had some sort of saddle bag on his waist. I guess he came prepared.
I buried my face into the crook of his neck, and inhaled deeply, trying to calm down. He smelt of candle wax, the tunnels, and cinnamon. What a weird combination, but it smelt amazing. I giggled.
His honey eyes met mine and he stopped walking.
"Yes?" I said groggily, sniffling a bit from my crying.
"Were you just smelling me?" He said with an amused smirk, his fedora casting a shadow over the top half of his head. Making his eyes glow bright in the foggy alley.
"Yes. You smell nice." I said bluntly. He chuckled and continued walking. I ended up falling asleep to the rhythm of his pace.
I was half woken up when I felt myself being lowered into a bed. I guess we were home already. I felt him stroke my hair then whisper,
"I won't let anything happen to you. You will be safe...mon amie. He placed a friendly kiss to my forehead, then exited.
I sighed dreamily, and snuggled into the silky sheets. 'Only if the other Phangirls could see me now.' I smirked.
