26 | For The Fifth Time 

King

I stared at the ceiling as I couldn't sleep . Looking at the clock , I saw it was going on five o'clock a.m . I bit down on my lip before grabbing my phone , dialing Genesis's number . "Yes King?" She answered .

"So .. You told me you were pregnant tonight right?"

"For the fifth time King , yes! I'm pregnant ." She said in her sleepy , raspy voice .

I breathed . "Aight goodnight."

"Are you sure or are you gonna call in another thirty minutes?"

I shifted to my side , looking at the floor , pondering . "So like the doctor confirmed it and everything?"

"Yes! King I'm really tired , we'll talk about it later today baby."

"You're gonna come by?"

"Yeah , I'll come by."

"Alright ... Goodnight ." I said low.

"Goodnight." She said before I heard the dial tone. I pressed the end button before tossing my phone on the other side of the bed. I gotta get some sleep , I thought. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes , forcing myself to sleep.

I caught myself snoring as I was woken up by my phone ringing. I sat up , confused , squinting at my phone . I looked at the time , seeing it was now 11 o'clock as I answered .

"Hello?" I answered raspy .

"You sleep bean head? Open the door." Genesis said . I laid my face against the pillow before forcing myself up .

"Why you didn't text first?" I asked , dragging downstairs .

"I did . Twice actually ."

"Wow , maybe I was just tired." I said, Getting to the door , starting to unlock it .

"Yeah." She said through the phone as I opened the door . The cold wind hit me , instantly waking me up . She gave me a hug around my neck , kissing my cheek .

"Good morning." She said . My hand rested on her lower back as I looked at her .

"Morning beauty. You don changed you hair color again. " She smiled before I let her in , locking the door back .

"Yeah I was doing  it like the third time you called. New year , new me." She chuckled .

I scoffed . " You look fine with it though. Make my wanna beat that thang up." I added smacking hand moments while biting down on my lip for emphasis.

She waved me off. "Where's my kas?" She asked , sitting her bag on the counter .

"Probably still sleep . I haven't checked on her yet ." I stated , going back up my stairs . "I'm about to take a shower." I told genesis as she headed to Kassidy's room .
