34 |Family Hands

Few days passed

Genesis

I woke up suddenly and looked around . I took a deep breath as I looked at the clock . I saw it was 1 o'clock in the morning . I got up , feeling a quench of thirst. I turned towards King as he shifted , still sleep . I got up , going out the room trailing towards the living room.

One of the perks of having a smaller house is that everything wasn't as far away. I went to the kitchen and got a glass , filling it with water from the fridge .

I heard something fall from the back room as I sipped my water. I put my hand on my belly , drinking the rest of the water and sat the glass in the sink .

I walked to the back room , slowly opening Kassidy's door. I went inside and looked at her as she slept peacefully . I slightly smiled , pulling her covers over her arms.

I kissed the side of her forehead before leaving out . I closed the door shut up quietly as I looked down at the floor .

I saw the light of the baby's room turn off making my furrow my eyebrows . Oh hell no , I thought as I went to the door.

I waited a moment before slowly opening it , seeing that it was completely dark . I turned on the  light and gasped as I read the words Your Baby Is Going to Die on the wall .

I looked over the wall as my hand trailed down to my stomach. I felt my heart beat speed up as it was a presence behind me. I turned around to be face to face with Nate.

I saw his chest heave up and down as his eyes were glassy. I wasn't sure if this was him or Ace. "I asked for a baby for an entire year. Why couldn't you have my baby?" He yelled , throwing me off guard.

I backed up , soon my back was on the wall . He shook his head.

"I wasn't good enough for you to have my baby? What makes him so much better than me?! We would've made pretty babies but...If you won't have my baby then you won't have his." He sniffled as he pulled out a knife.

"Nate . Ace , no." I put my hands out as he walked up to me. "No , no NO!"

"No." I mumbled as I woke up , looking around . I saw I was on the couch still from my nap and it was thankfully , only a nightmare.

I looked down at my belly , slightly rubbing it . I was starting to worry more now since it's settled in my mind that I'm pregnant . "Alright we've unpacked all Kassidy's clothes . You ready to go?" King asked , coming in as Kassidy skipped behind him .

We were finishing up unpacking by now . We only needed to unpack the kitchen's things and we would be completely done . I nodded , sitting up. I stood up and stretched .

"I'm gonna use the bathroom and get some shoes." I said . He nodded .

"Alright. Kassidy you still want an apple?"

"Yes." She said as I was walking into our room . I went into the bathroom , used it and washed my hands . I freshened up before going to my closet . I grabbed some low cut boots and slid them on.
