Month later

Genesis

Kassidy and I had just got home about an hour ago from the cancer center  . King was there at the center with us as Keenan was receiving his treatments but as soon as he was done , King gave him and Kassidy a kiss before he was gone again .

It angered me at how now he was gone 75% of the time but I still have yet to work up the nerve to say something to him about it . Meanwhile , Kassidy was working my last nerves .

I rocked Keenan , trying to get him to sleep . I ran my hand over his head that was partially bald from the chemotherapy he was receiving . I saw his eyes getting droopy and soon closing. The bruises were all over his body by now but they kept claiming that he was getting better . I couldn't tell .

"Moma!!" Kassidy whined for the thousandth time.

"What?" I said through gritted teeth.

"I want some mashed potatoes!" She said loudly.

"I will make it later Kassidy, would you just be patient." I said louder than her .

She folded her arms , stomping .

"You say that all the time and I never get it!!" She yelled.

"Because I'm busy!" I yelled back .

"You're always too busy for me!"

"At least  I'm even making time for you . Maybe if you father was here, he could cook your gawd damn potatoes!" I screamed before wiping my face from the tears.

Keenan end up waking up , crying from all the yelling . Meaning I had to start all over with rocking him to sleep .

I was becoming stressed out more as the days past and I felt as though I wasn't getting the support i should. The support I should have from my boyfriend but also the father of both of these kids.

"I'm sorry Kassidy, I didn't mean to yell. Just let me get Kee back to sleep and ill make your potatoes ,okay?" I said in a much softer tone , sniffling.

She nodded , resting her hand in my leg . "I didn't mean to make you cry mommy."

I nodded , "It wasn't you baby , it's okay." I assured her as I rocked Kee on my shoulder instead .

I not only had to get and keep Keenan asleep and make Kassidy's mashed potatoes but also clean up around the house because the twins were coming down for a visit . They said they had some business to take care of so it would be a short visit .

I kept rocking Kee , taking a deep breath as I barely kept my own eyes open.

I took a deep breath , looking up at the building that I've became very familiar with before opening the door and going inside. It was pretty much empty with a few people as that's how it usually was. I took a seat on the back bench and leaned back . I took off my hat and ran my head over my head .
