Genesis

The guy at the cash register continued to stare at me with a frightened look . I'm guessing I really caught him off guard . I went over to him , fiddling with my fingers . "Can I have the keys to your bathroom?" He nodded, handing them to me .

I heard a lightening bolt from outside , startling me . I kept walking to the back of the store , to the bathroom . I went in , flipping the light on . After using the bathroom , I was washing my hands when the handle of the door started turning .

I turned around , noticing it wasn't the door I came in through . My breathing hitched as it opened and Nate stood there .

He gave me a sympathetic look , angering me . Just as I was about to scream , he covered my mouth gently . "No genesis , I'm not gonna hurt you." I pushed him off of me , about to go back into the store until he pulled my arm back to him.

"Just let me explain , please."

"You're fucking bipolar , get off of me!" I yelled . I heard a knock on the door .

"Aye are you alright?" The guy from the register voice came through .

"No call the police!" I yelled and Nate's eyes widened , he shook his head .

"Alright !" The guy yelled .

"Please no ." I pulled from his arm about to swing the door open once again . He turned me around more roughly , giving me a hard stare before wrapping his hand around my neck .

I held onto his hand as he slid me up the door by my back . I felt tears go to the brim of my eyes as it was becoming hard to breathe. I started beating my fists on his chest , trying to get him to put me down before everything started becoming a blur .

Last thing I remember is being dropped on the ground and him saying , " Genesis ", softly .

From loud thunder , I sat up with a racing heartbeat . I looked down noticing I was still in the same soaked clothes . I looked around the abandoned apartment , not seeing anyone. "I gotta get out of here." I said , hurrying towards the door before someone grabbed my hand .

"No Genesis please . All I ask is that you hear me out and let me explain , I know it's way overdue but I just need you to know." Nate said softly , looking at me .

I shook my head in disbelief . "Do you know what you've done to me? You've made my life a living hell the last 2 years!--" he cut me off .

"I don't !" He said a bit loud. He got down on his knees still holding my hand . "I don't know what I've done to you Genesis , honestly but whatever I did , I truly apologize , i do but I just want you to hear me out please ." He begged .

A lump formed in my throat as tears streamed down my face . He stood up , wiping my face as he hugged me . "I'm so sorry , I love you." He said softly . I shook my head , pushing him off of me . He led me to sit down as he sat in front of me . I stared at him as he looked back .
