Chapter 15

We were back at Jimmy's apartment after he was done filming, it was just past 8:00pm and we were watching TMZ to get a laugh out of what they were probably saying about us dating.

"Oh my God, I should have popped popcorn," Jimmy said from next to me on the couch.

I laughed and took a drink from my bottle of beer Jimmy had opened for me, "This is probably going to be hilarious."

"Okay! So we got Jimmy Fallon and Maggie Atwood in New York today going to eat. But! The actual story in this is that they were holding hands on the walk!" one of their reporters told Harvey Levin.

I couldn't help the snort that came from me as I laughed.

"Ooohh interesting," Harvey said, turning to write it on the board, "Did they say anything?" he asked turning to face him again.

He nodded with a satisfied smile, "They did!"

The tape started when Jimmy and I were walking; we both had on sunglasses and big smiles. We were talking to each other and laughing on our way to get lunch.

"Hey! Jimmy Fallon and Maggie Atwood! What brings you two out together?" the cameraman called to us

I smiled and looked up at Jimmy, "Got a little hungry, man," Jimmy answered him with a smile.

"I feel you!" the cameraman said to us, "What's with the hand holding going on here? Something new going on?"

"Girlfriends and boyfriends tend to hold hands, ya know?" I said with a small laugh.

"Oh! When did this happen?" the cameraman asked quickly.

Jimmy laughed loudly, "About 15 minutes ago, pal!"

The cameraman audibly gasped making the two of us laugh, "Well congratulations! That's a huge surprise!"

"Why?" I asked curiously.

"Just because no one knew!" He told me as we arrived at the food place, "Moving on already, eh Jimmy?"

Jimmy smiled politely at him and opened the door for me, I walked in, "Have a good day, man," Jimmy said before slipping in the door after me.

"I never saw that coming!" Harvey said back in the TMZ office, "That is story number one!" Harvey said before the logo came up and they went on to a different story.

Jimmy changed the channel back over to the Food Channel and looked ever at me.

"Not as bad as I was expecting," he said with a smile.

I smiled back at him, "That's because we haven't checked Twitter yet."

He sighed and rolled his eyes, "That's actually so true."

I picked my phone up from the coffee table to went to my Twitter, "Might as well get it over with," I said going to my notifications and reading what people were already posting.

I locked my phone and tossed it on the seat beside me.

"People are so kind," I said sarcastically.

Jimmy took my hand and held it tightly, "I don't care what they say. We will always know the story of the two of us okay? We know what the truth is, right?"
