Baby I'm Amazed {Jimmy Fallon Romance}

Chapter 16

I did as Jimmy suggested and extended my trip to New York. I went into the studio with him on Tuesday to see everyone again, and to have lunch with Higgins like we had promised. Higgins was literally one of the funniest people I had ever met. Jimmy and him would go back and forth together, telling jokes and adding onto jokes. And then they would throw out classic bits from the show that I caught onto, including, one of my personal favourites....DVD, BABY! Which Jimmy and Higgins shouted probably 10 times in the restaurant.

The paparazzi had been ruthless though, they were right outside of Jimmy's apartment, and outside 30 Rock, shouting questions at us and taking photos and videos. But we knew it would hopefully die down soon.

I was supposed to go back home on Wednesday because I had writing sessions and recording, I ended up doing writing sessions at Jimmy's apartment via Skype on Wednesday and Thursday while he went to work. Friday one of my producers came out to New York and we went into the studio to record a new song. We went in at 8:30am and didn't leave again until 9:00pm. We were writing and re-writing the song and recording the vocals over the music that the band had recorded back in L.A.

By the time I got back to Jimmy's apartment Friday night, I literally went up, said hi gave him a kiss and went up to bed with Jimmy not far behind me. I didn't wake up until 10:00am the next morning. Nancy was going to be dropping the girls off around 11:00am and we were heading to the Hampton's at 12:00pm to see the house.

I got up and washed quickly and then got dressed, and went downstairs where Jimmy was sitting at the table on his iPad.

"Hey," I said when I came down the stairs.

He looked up at me and smiled, "Hey there! I was gonna come up and get you up in a few minutes."

I leaned down and kissed his cheek before going to the kitchen, "Thank-you! I was exhausted!" I said reaching to grab one of my filled water bottles. I always had to have 2 of them on hand in the fridge, both of them filled and cold for when I wanted them. When I finished one, I would refill it and put it in the fridge and grab the second one.

I sat down across from him and took a long sip from the straw, "I noticed," he said with a small smile.

I stuck my tongue out playfully and looked at the clock, just going on 10:30am. Suddenly there were dainty little knocks on the door. Jimmy's eyes lit up and he stood up and rushed to the door. I walked behind him, and watched as he opened the door and there was Nancy standing with a big smile, Winnie was standing up giggling as she looked up at Jimmy. She had been the one knocking on the door.

"Dada!" she yelled, and Jimmy bent down to pick her up. He stood back up with her and held her close to him and kissed her head.

"Winnie Rose! I have missed you!" he told her, rocking her back and forth.

She had her little arms around her neck, "Dada down!" she told him, and Jimmy bent back down and placed her on the floor, where she ran away to the living room area.

"Hey, Nancy," Jimmy smiled, it was then I noticed she had Franny strapped to her in one of the baby carriers. She was wide awake and smiling at Jimmy.

"There's my little Franny!" Jimmy said taking Franny out of the carrier and hugging her to him as well; she wiggled around a bit and started saying some of the adorable baby talk. I couldn't help but to smile widely at the sight in front of me.

"Hey, Maggie," Nancy smiled at me.

I looked back to her and smiled, "Hey, Nancy! How are you?" I asked her.

She nodded, "I'm good! And you?" she asked as she undid the straps for the baby carrier.

"Great! Do you need some help?" I asked moving to her and taking the baby carrier from her.
