Chapter 51

May 21st, 2016

Jimmy and I were hosting a one year anniversary party at home, even though our official one year had been the month previous, we were playing it off by saying we had been so busy an didn't really have a chance to celebrate with everyone and we wanted to celebrate together.

We were going to be announcing to everyone that I was pregnant. We had managed to keep it absolutely quiet from even our families since Jimmy and I decided to wait for the third month to announce it. Jimmy was being extra cautious with me, more than usual. He didn't want me to life things, move things...hell he hardly wanted me to move from the apartment. It made me smile with how caring he was being.

I was starting to show, but anytime I had been out I had been wearing baggy clothes, not that people cared since that's pretty much how I always dressed.

I had a pair of jeans on with a tight shirt that said The Tonight Show starring Baby Fallon! Which Jimmy had made, but I was wearing a loose sweatshirt over top of that.

"Hey," Jimmy called, I turned my head to look at him where he was in the dining room area, I was in the kitchen eating a bowl of Fruit Loops with chocolate milk. One of my latest cravings.

He smiled, "Families are here," he said.

I smiled and put the just finished bowl and spoon into the sink as I swallowed my last bit of food, "I'm so nervous!"

He laughed and hugged me, "Me too! But more excited. Gosh...this is crazy!"

I pulled him down to me and kissed him, "I love you," I whispered when we pulled apart.

"I love you too," he said as the door opened.

We let go of each other and turned towards the door, watching as my parents, Jimmy's parents, his sister and my brother and Janie came in laughing about something.

"Hey everyone!" Jimmy said walking over to them.

"Excited for tonight?" my mom asked as Jimmy hugged her.

I smiled, "More than you know!"

The party was in full swing with everyone there finally. Our families, The Roots, Higgins, Miles, Lorne, Demi, Justin and Jessica and Allie and Paul.

Jimmy looked over at me where I was sitting at the dining room table with mine and Jimmy's parents.

"Wanna make a speech?" he asked with a sly smile.

I smiled back and nodded, "Sure! Come into the living room!" I said, looking at both sets of parents.

I stood up and grabbed Jimmy's hand and went to the living room as everyone started to filter in there to stand in front of us.

"So, thanks for coming everyone!" Jimmy started out, holding onto his bottle of beer while I was holding a bottle of water. It was very hard to explain away why I wasn't drinking, but settled with saying I had taken some medicine for a cold and didn't want to mix things.

"We know it's about a month later, but we wanted to have everyone here with us since it's such a special occasion!" Jimmy continued, then looked down at me with a smile.

I began to fan myself with my hand, "It's really warm," I said, putting my water on the table and slowly pulling my sweatshirt over my head.

"It's definitely a special occasion today, not only is it a party to celebrate mine and Maggie's one year anniversary together. But we're also celebrating something else special too," Jimmy said, as I dropped my sweatshirt next to me on the ground.
