I drove around for a while trying to figure out where I would go. I didn't have a lot of options, and Lord knows I couldn't go to a hotel because the media would go absolutely crazy with that one.  I could have gone to Taylor's place, but she always had way too many paps there.

I ended up deciding on Allie's place, as no one knew where she lived, and she lived a little on the outskirts of the city in an actual house. I called her from the car, telling her I needed to spend a couple nights there. She didn't question it, she just said okay.

I drove the hour to her place, with my phone constantly buzzing and ringing. It didn't take a scientist to figure out that it was Jimmy. He was probably calling to fix everything, but I didn't want to pick up. I was so angry at him...all I was asking for was some sort of compromise and he wasn't willing to give it. Which wasn't fair. It wasn't fair that I didn't get to have the type of wedding I wanted because he had already been married before and I hadn't.

I pulled into Allie's driveway and parked. I got out of the car and went to the trunk to get out my bag and purse. It was only after I closed my trunk that I saw that Allie had come outside onto her front porch.

"Hey," she called, as I walked to her.

"Hi," I said quietly.

She sighed, but still smiled as she led me inside, "So, I'm not going to beat around the bush."

I rolled my eyes as I set my bags down, "I wasn't expecting you to."

She walked towards the kitchen so I followed her, taking a seat on one of the stools that was at the island in there.

"What the hell has happened?" she asked me, sitting across from me in another stool.

So I told her everything. I told her how Jimmy didn't want to compromise with me. How he told me that he already had his wedding and didn't want a big one like I wanted. I told her I would have changed up what I wanted to make Jimmy happy, but not all the way so that it did only have maybe 20 people there.

I told her how he told me to grow up, which hit me the hardest I think.

She sucked in a breath and shook her head, "Alright...so you're leaving him then?"

My eyes went wide and I shook my head vigorously, "No. Of course not."

"So then why did you run off?" she asked curiously.

"Because he pissed me off," I said loudly, "he was yelling and I was yelling and he said things that pissed me off. We've never fought like this before, it was fucking terrifying."

"So it was you're first fight, but it won't be your last. You can't run off every time you have a fight with him. It doesn't work like that, Maggie," she said soothingly.

I laid crossed my arms on the surface in front of me and laid my head down on them, "I know that, Allie. But what happened was really fucked up. He wasn't giving me a chance, Allie! I didn't know what else to do!"

"You don't run!" she told me as I lifted my head to look at her as a fresh wave of tears filled my eyes, "You sit down and you talk this shit over with him. Do you want to marry Jimmy?"

"Of course," I answered instantly, "I love him."

Her eyes softened, "Maggie...you shouldn't have run. You should have sat there with him and fought and yelled and done what you needed to do, but you should have figured it out with him at home. Not with me sitting in my kitchen. In ten years from now and if you gave a fight, are you gonna run out and hide out somewhere else?"

I shook my head silently.

"Exactly. Look, I know it was your first fight with him, but now you might have set a precedent with him that if you two fight again, which you will, that you're going to run off without trying to solve it like adults. He is your partner for life now, Maggie. You need to do stuff with him, and make decisions with him. You know Jimmy would give you anything you want, but you left before he could offer it," she said, as I let everything sink in.
