Chapter 27

Waking up the next morning confused me for just a second. I was curled under the blanket pressed up against Jimmy, in my childhood room. It took me a minute before a smile settled on my face. I was back home in Virginia with Jimmy and my family.

I sighed and crawled out of bed, careful not to wake Jimmy up. I stood up and stretched, when I finished I adjusted the pyjamas I had changed into after Jimmy and I were together the night before. I went to my luggage and pulled out my bag with my face wash and toothbrush and took it to the washroom to start and get ready for the day.

I closed the door quietly and went to the bathroom. I finished up and went back to my room, surprised to see Jimmy sitting up fully dressed. He smiled when I walked in.

"Hey," he said.

"Morning," I greeted, closing the door behind me.

He sighed and stood up, "I'm just gonna wash and shave, I won't be long," he said before pecking me on the lips.

"You're gonna shave?" I asked him curiously.

"Mhmm," he hummed, reaching around me to open the door, "Why?" he asked back.

I shrugged, with a small smile, "Nothing, I just like the scruff," I said tracing my fingers along his jawline.

He smiled and blushed a little bit, "Really?" he asked, surprised.

I nodded, "Yeah! It's sexy, Jimmy!"

He laughed and shook his head, "Sexy and Jimmy shouldn't be in the same sentence."

I winked and stepped aside from the door, "Trust me, they should be."

He leaned down and kissed my forehead, "I love you," he mumbled against my skin.

I closed my eyes and smiled, "I love you too, Jimmy."

He pulled away and smiled at me before opening the door and leaving my room, closing the door behind him.

I tossed my stuff onto the bed and shook out my wavy hair from the ponytail I had it in while I washed. I crouched down and opened up my luggage and dug through my clothes. I pulled out my undergarments, a pair of denim shorts, dark blue loose crop top, flip flops and called it done. I tossed my hair up into a messy bun and opened the door just as Jimmy was about to.

"Great minds," I said with a smile.

He chuckled and nodded, "I know, right?" he said as he walked into the room.

"I'll meet you downstairs, take your time," I told him with my hand on the handle.

He nodded with a little smile, "I won't be long."

I smiled and walked away, closing the door behind me.

I went downstairs and saw everyone sitting at the table, except Dominic who was in the living room with his toys.

"Hey, baby," mom said once she saw me.

I smiled, "Morning, everyone," I said as I took a seat at the table where an empty plate was sitting. Mama had made breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and lots of fruit. I took a bit of every thing on my plate.

"Where's Jimmy?" Adam asked looking at me just before drinking some of his coffee.

"Changing," I said and put some of the food in my mouth.
