The room that they were standing was like all the other rooms on the ship. It was bright white. The walls were covered with a layer of soft cushioning.
There was a blue mat on the floor in the middle of the room. There were dummies of different sizes places at the end of room. They had large red and white concentric circles drawn in the center of their chests.
"Target practice",Omega explained.
They were now standing in the middle of the mat. It was thick. Delta hopped on it.
"This is for when we have combat practice",she explained.
"What's that for",Dax asked pointing at a room at the far end. It was made from grill bars. Inside were an assortment of weapons on a table and hanging from the walls.
Omega moved toward the room. He opened the grill door and stepped inside the room. Sticking his hand out from between the metal bars he gestured for them to come closer.
"Originally this is where we used to keep the prisoners when we used to go out looking for trouble but since we're gonna kill the guy anyway,we decided to make it the weapons room",he beamed.
Dax walked to a nearby table and picked up a giant hammer.
"That's not a hammer",Omega said,pointing at the metal weapon in his hands. He felt along the handle until he found a button. He pressed it and instantly the head of the hammer split into curved blades. It was beginning to look like a giant arrow. A tiny ridge had appeared on the jet black handle and split the blades in to opposite sides.
"What?",Dax asked confused.
"It's kind of like a bow and arrow",Omega took the heavy weapon from Dax and held it easily in his hands. He was holding it in one hand and resting his other elbow on Taya's head.
"You put the arrow through here",he pointed at the ridge in the handle "and it launches it out through here",he pointed to the spot between the blades.
"What happens if you run out of arrows",Taya asked.
Omega pressed the bottom of the handle and instantly the blades morphed together,transforming the weapon in to a large sword.
"You use the blades to stab your opponent to death",Omega grinned.
Taya shuddered. It had never crossed her mind that she was travelling with wanted criminals.
Alpha alone had a police record a mile long. Of course they must have used these weapons to kill someone. They felt no remorse for killing a person. They most definitely wouldn't survive should they decide to turn on them. But Dax and his grandmother were confident that Alpha wouldn't betray their trust. And Alpha's word was not to be taken lightly.
"I'm starving,can we go eat?",Omega asked.
"I don't know where to go,we could ride the elevator until we get to the right floor but Dax will throw up",Delta said.
