Chapter Twenty-Three

Anova Spaceship- 5 months later

Delta grimaced from the pain that was stabbing at her right foot. Her head felt like static and all she could see were bright purple spots.

"It's all going to be over soon",he said,caressing her face.

She was completely healed. All traces of the explosion were wiped from her body. But not her mind. She couldn't escape her memories. He pushed the needle deeper in to the skin making her cry out in pain. She glared at him. They had given her a strange liquid to drink that paralyzed her whole body, however, it didn't numb her. And so she could feel every prick and cut he made on to her vulnerable skin. Her hair had begun to grow back,however,it was not the blue she had been born with. It was a jet black color. And it had grown down to her jaw line. She gritted her teeth as he made a small incision below her knee. She could feel him cutting and ripping at something. Warm,crimson liquid traveled down her knee and stained the white sheets below. He carefully placed the tissue in to a container and orderd one of the men to take it down to the testing laboratory immediately.

This is what had been going on for days. He would cut them open over and over again. Always looking for something.

He was only concerned with certain aspects of them. For instance,he was only interested in Delta and Beta's legs. Justus and Sirena's vocal chords had been operated on countless number of times. Ace and Haze's brains had been injected with countless amounts of liquids and micro chips. Alpha and Omega were continually injected with a blue-green solution. It gave them a lot of pain,but it was never enough to kill them. And they would wait for always wait for a chance to take their own lives.

They didn't know what he was searching for. But he continued to grow more and more restless with each passing day.

"Why are you doing this to us?",she asked him slowly.
He turned around,looking her in the eye.
"Because I have to"
He walked over to her bed and plopped in the seat next to her.
"You see the intergalactic counsel wants stronger soldiers,those who with more....abilities",he looked at her cautiously.
"So I've been ordered by the counsel to look for a way to make this a reality"
"But why us?"
"Because Nashkans are the only beings in the whole galactic community who can withstand so much testing".
"This is illegal"
"The counsel dosen't know anything,they just want results".

Delta looked at him with wide eyes. He was crazy. Pretty and crazy.

She squirmed in her bed making him chuckle.

"Get some rest,you're going to need it",he gave her a demonic smile and walked away.

ANOVA SPACESHIP-THIRD DAY OF THE FIFTH MONTH

"Alpha?",a small voice whispered
"In here",a female voice hissed.
Ace walked in to the small room. His face instantly lit up and he ran to his brothers and sisters. He hugged them tightly,eyes brimming with tears. They all stood there for a few seconds,standing in the warmth of eachother's company.

Omega was the first one to break free from the little group.

"So,how are we getting out of here?"

"We're getting out of here?",Ace asked.

Alpha nodded.

"But what about....him",Ace whispered.

"They have all left for the president's gala,so we only have to deal with the security system",Delta explained.

"We'll handle the security system",the younger boys informed.

"Great,Omega and I are in charge of the raft that will take us across the lake"

"But what if there's no wind?"

"Delta,Justus,Sirena and I will take care of it",Beta informed him.

"Alright, it's all of us,or none of us",Alpha spoke.

They all nodded.

"Delta I need Intel,how many guards are out here tonight?", Haze asked.

"Just two,they're in charge of the security cameras".

"Let's knock em out",Omega balled his fists.

"Alright,I'll go with the boys,Omega you go with the girls,wait for us at the entrance".

And with that,the group dispersed in to different parts of the ship.

Alpha,broke through the wall until he got to the security unit of the ship, he grabbed the two men by the throat and taped them to the wall.

Ace and Haze jumped onto the rapidly punching commands in to the computers. Suddenly,all the lights turned off.

"Wha...."
"I disabled the controls,so now the ship won't work"
"Nice"

Cautiously they stepped out onto the long,white corridor, dull, little lights were illuminating the corridor at regular intervals.

The boys ran as fast as they could.

"Why are the lights out",Justus hissed.
"Because we broke the ship",Ace hissed back.

"Okay everyone step back,Omega help me get this open.

The two boys knelt down and forcefully pulled the ship's door open. It fell out with a clang and they both smiled smugly.

"Come on"

Alpha pulled out a tree by its roots and set them on the ground. Omega did the same until four,large trunks were lying side by side. They tied these firmly together with bits and peices of their clothing.

They hurriedly jumped onto the raft as Alpha pushed it onto the cold,murky water of the lake.

Delta and Beta jumped off and gripped the raft.
"Ready",Beta asked her sister.
Delta replied with a nod,then started to run. Slowly,as she picked up speed she realized that her legs had risen above water and now they were running on water. Delta grinned at her sister. They sped across the lake. Finally,happy to be set free.
