Delta wiped away a tear.
"We sneaked on to a ship that took us to Methusla, we asked the intergalactic counsel for help".
"Do you know what they did to us?",she sneered.
Dax shook his head.
"They locked us up,they said that if the public were to find out,there'd be chaos",she hissed.
"They didn't even go after the guy,saying that if we were safe,there was nothing to worry about,that night,we broke out of prison,and we've been harassing the counsel since".
She looked at Dax and smiled
"I realize that what we've done can never be unwritten,but they locked us up to hide the truth. I confess that we have hurt innocent people to exact our revenge,but we were once innocent too".
Dax felt sorry for them. They were always feared and hunted. People called them names. They said they were different. They had lost their parents and themselves.
"You know what?"
"I'd do the same thing if I were in your place",he said.
Delta gave him a little smile.
"You understand",she whispered.
"And this just got weird",Omega interjected.
Delta rolled her eyes at him. Obviously some of us haven't changed.
She punched Dax's arm lightly.
"Your turn"
"Huh?"
"Tell us about yourself"
Dax looked at Taya for help. She gave him a helpless smile and shrugged.
"Wait a minute,are you two...a thing?",Sirena giggled.
"NO!",the two Nashkans yelled in unison.
"Alright,alright calm down,I was just teasing".
"So you're siblings?"
The two teenagers shook their heads.
"We're not related by blood,but we're still family",Taya replied.
"Explain".
"My mum and dad died of an unknown disease,Dax's parents took me in"
"The first time I saw her,I couldn't really see her,just the pile of books she was carrying",Dax laughed.
"I like to read".
"My parents died too, my dad drowned in the lake near our house, mum died of a broken heart", Dax said,sadly.
"Dax's grandma took us in,she is all we have left".
Ace looked at Delta.
"Thats why we need to get her back".
Justus and Sirena were talking in hushed whispers.
"What you guys discussing?",Omega asked.
The girls looked at each other nervously.
"I think Alpha's planning something",Justus replied.
"Yeah,but he's always planning something,he's Alpha",Delta replied.
"It's bad",Sirena spoke up.
"Well aren't you two just rays of Methuslan sunshine",Haze answered sarcastically.
Omega rested a reassuring arm around his two sisters.
"Alpha won't let anything happen to us".
"Thats why we're worried",Sirena mumbled.
Ace rolled his eyes and continued eating his crisps.
"We should be landing on Oberon in a few hours"
"Get some sleep".
