"Wake up, we're here".
Dax slowly opened his eyes and peeked at the source of the voice. Taya was sitting at the foot of her bed, struggling with a zipper on her backpack. She gave him a big smile then returned to wrestling with her backpack.
Dax covered his face with his pillow and groaned. His head was throbbing and his back hurt. His left arm felt like it had been made from pins and needles.
Taya grabbed the pillow and uncovered his face.
"We have to go, get ready".
He sighed then got up.
"Morning"
The two teenagers turned around to look at Beta. She looked disapprovingly at Dax's hair then tossed a hair brush to him before motioning to him to tame the mess on his head. She laughed when he turned bright red then turned around to walk toward Alpha's room.
"I'll meet you in the kitchen, okay?", Taya said, as she closed the door behind her.
Dax brought his knees to his chest and lay his head on his hands. He massaged his temples before reluctantly crawling out of bed and dragging his feet across the little room toward the bathroom. He stifled a yawn as he turned on the shower. He quickly undressed then stepped in to the little stall. The warm water, ran soothingly down his back. He could feel the pain subsiding. He reached for the button on the wall of the shower and pressed it. A blue liquid was slowly dispensed through it and Dax caught it in his hands , rubbing it on his head. The liquid itself smelt like mint and immediately woke his senses. He turned off the shower and wrapped a towel around himself before walking back in to the room.
He shuffled through the contents of his brown duffle bag until he found a pair of navy, blue pants and a grey t-shirt. He pulled a hoodie over his head then tied the laces of his converses before proceeding to answer the door.
Whoever was on the other side was becoming impatient as they started to beat incessantly against the metal door. He swung the door open and nearly got knocked out by Delta's fist. She looked him up and down.
"You look good", she commented.
"Thanks".
They walked awkwardly toward the elevator and stepped in.
"First we're having breakfast, then we're going out to investigate", she grinned.
