They stepped on to the plank pirates had thrown down toward them. It was attached to a system of ropes and pull-ups, Dax marveled at the craftsmanship of the hull as they were hoisted up. It was of a siren, hair blowing in the wind. He would soon come to know, that it was in fact modeled after Delta.

Phoenix leaned against a mast, a smirk plastered to his face as he watched Delta scream and kick at Omega to let her go. All around them, the crew of the Delta Nova were scurrying to put out the fire that was threatening to engulf the ship. It was extremely hot and Dax could feel the heat rising. It did not seem to bother the man who looked at Delta with a mischievous glint. She spat in his direction and his grin widened.

"PHOENIX!", Alpha's voice cut through the air.
The dark haired man turned to look in their direction. Taya stood mesmerized, Dax judged her heavily. Delta stopped struggling for once and glared at Alpha. Her thick hair was plastered to her forehead, her face was twisted in to a terrifying scowl. She was fuming and Omega was trying not to laugh.
"He took my blades", she pointed in Phoenix's direction.
The pirate twirled a long, decorative dagger in his right hand.
"Because you're crazy and crazy people should not be trusted with lethal weapons". He pushed a button on the dagger and it enclosed itself in to a cylindrical case.
By this time, much of the fire had been put out. The crew sat in a lump on the ground, scowling at Delta.
"She set fire to our ship"
"She could've killed us", one of them yelled.
"Well we're not dead so she wasn't very successful", Phoenix glared at him.

Delta's gaze softened and Omega finally let go. He stretched his arms as he went to stand next to his family. Followed closely by Delta who still looked suspiciously at Phoenix. He winked at her and she scowled, but it was evident that she had moved on from her intentions to murder him.

Alpha moved toward the man to give him a hug.
"It's been a while", he smiled.
"It has man", Phoenix grinned back. "Let's go down to my cabin, we can talk there, unless it's burnt too".
The group followed the pirate down a narrow set of stairs. The ship smelt like ash and flames. But the structure had not faltered. He opened the door to a little room that overlooked the bay, it had a bed, a chest and a desk. He cracked open a window and went to sit behind the desk, propping his feet on to the wood. He motioned for the others to sit on the bed. "Make yourselves comfortable".

"So, why're you here, I mean you've had one hell of  a night. Damaged more property in one night then I have in two years", he laughed.
"Why Thankyou", Ace grinned.
"We're here because we need your help, something big is going to happen, I know it".
Phoenix nodded grimly. He made his way over to the cabin door and closed it.
"I've heard about the destruction of worlds".
"Not just that", Delta whispered, "it's him, he's doing this". She looked at him worriedly and for a little moment Phoenix almost forgot about the time when she had stabbed him and locked him in a fridge to die.
"You stabbed me and left me to die", he pointed at her.
"You cheated on me", she fired back.
Omega gasped, obviously enjoying the altercation.
"Can we leave, I don't wanna be stuck in an enclosed space when these two start", Justus pleaded.
"I didn't cheat on you!"
"So she just FELL ON TOP OF YOU"!
"YES"!

Delta glared at him then set back down, crossing her arms across her chest she asked, "so why didn't you try to stop me".
"I was trying not to die", he replied dryly.
