The inspector could not believe what he was seeing. Alpha stood at the foot of the grand staircase. He was a tall male. Broad shouldered. His jawline was feathered with a light dusting of facial hair. His deep,brown eyes stared down at the police inspector. Mouth pressed in a hard line. His brows were furrowed and his fists were clenched.
The inspector looked around. Surely enough he was surrounded by all of them. Their clothes were simple,but stitched with leather. Bits of armour covered their bodies. And an assortment of weapons sat in holsters positioned on hips,thighs and ankles.
"Good evening,inspector" , a deep voice boomed.
The inspector turned to look at Alpha.
"That door that you just kicked in, was for your protection, not mine",he stabbed a finger at the open entrance.
The inspector cleared his throat.
"Apologies, but we don't take too kindly to criminals", he glared at Delta and Omega.
Alpha turned to look at his brother and sister. Giving them a soft,reassuring smile. They both grinned back.
"How did you find us?", a small voice standing beside Delta asked.
Everyone turned to look at the girl everyone called Beta. She was shorter then Delta. Her hair had more curl to it. She was slim as well, however she was not as skinny as her sister. Big,brown eyes peered at the inspector from under a curtain of thick lashes. She and her sister both possessed the power of speed.
The inspector turned to look at the young woman for an explanation
"Rebecca will explain", he replied, gesturing to the young intern to come forward.
She stepped through the doorway. "Careful of the broken glass", Omega winked at her.
This made Sirena ,his sister,roll her eyes at him.
Rebecca fumbled with the screen for a bit. Her heart was banging against her rib cage and her palms were sweaty. Her throat like she had just swallowed a giant piece of sand paper. She pressed a button on the side of the tiny computer and the small screen lit up again.
She cleared her throat.
"We managed to shoot a tracker on to Omega as he was escaping",she answered.
Everyone turned to look at the sixteen year old boy holding an atom blaster in his hands. He smiled sheepishly at his family.
"YOU IDIOT, YOU HAD ONE JOB!!", Ace yelled at him.
Ace looked like a 10 year old boy. He was dressed in a white,lab coat and a pair of metallic goggles sat on his head. He was small with big eyes. His accomplice, Haze resembled a seven year old. He too was dressed exactly like his brother. Yet he held a rifle in his hand which was currently pointed at a policeman.
Alpha pinched the bridge of his nose with a gloved hand and sighed deeply.
