*Matt*
With the help of Morgan, we managed to get my poor, coughing baby brother in the bed. He was still coughing as bad as he was when we found him puking. Boy, was I ready to kill Spud and Grado over this.
I grabbed a trashcan from the bathroom, placed it next to Jeff, and watched as he threw up stuff that we had earlier tonight. Morgan rubbed his back in a comforting manner and whispered things to him to try and calm him down. After about 20 minutes, he had passed out and Morgan was still rubbing his arm gently. She had tears running down her face as she did so.
I got a phone call and excused myself to the other side of the room. The name Dixie Carter flashed across the screen and I instantly got worried. Had she found out about what happened with Jeff? I hope she didn't think that he did it to himself.
"Hello?" I said, watching Morgan rubbing Jeff's back as she layed down next to him. She then wrapped her arms around him in a comforting manner.
"Matt, you and Morgan need to get down here. There is serious business that I need to talk to you two about. Spud and Grado are here too. I'm about ready to suspend Jeff for what he's done." Damn, she did find out. I could hear Spud and Grado try to explain themselves in the background, but Dixie shushed them.
"Yes, ma'am. We'll be there soon." I then hung up the phone and turned to Morgan, who looked up at me from where she was laying.
"Morgan, we gotta go to Dixie's office."
"Why?" she asked, running her fingers through Jeff's hair.
"We gotta clear Jeff's name because Dixie is about ready to suspend him," I said. At the mention of the words Jeff and suspended Morgan shot up.
"Okay, Matt, let's go," she said before kissing Jeff on the cheek. I lead her out and shut the door quietly before we walked out to my car. I drove us back to the arena where the show was still going on. We then walked as quickly as possible to Dixie's office. I knocked on her door swiftly before Dixie opened the door, looking none too happy about what happened. Spud and Grado were also there, wearing the same worried expressions on their faces. Dixie shut the door and we sat down on the other side of the room across from the two morons that drugged my brother so bad that he got sick.
"Okay, I heard what happened. That Jeff has DRUGS in his system! I gave him another chance in this company and this is what he does?!" Yea, you gave him another chance after I begged you to. You were about ready to fire him after the Victory Road thing.
"Woah, woah, woah, hold up!" Morgan said holding her hand up. "It's not Jeff's fault."
"It's ours Mrs. Carter," Spud added. Dixie looked surprised and shocked at this.
"What? Are you telling me that you, Rockstar Spud, drugged Jeff Hardy?" Dixie said, crossing her arms, and raising an eyebrow at him.
"A-actually," Grado spoke up for the first time. I rolled my eyes, he had to be the instigator behind this whole thing, I just knew it. "It was both of us ma'am."
"I can't believe this. Why on Earth would you do such a thing?" Dixie asked.
"Uhm..." Spud said, sounding very nervous. "well it was a prank, and well...it was actually meant for Ethan." Dixie got up so fast I thought she was gonna hit the ceiling.
"WHAT?!" Dixie shouted.
"Well, can you blame him Dixie?" Morgan asked. "Ethan's done nothing but cause trouble around here. You'd know better than anyone." That's true, he did scream at her that she was dead to him. At least, that's what I heard when we got backstage on Sunday. "Plus," Morgan added, placing a hand on Spud's shoulder. "It was just a prank gone wrong."
