*Jeff*
It was just supposed to be me and my turncoat brother fighting for the championship. No one else...and where did that land me??? In the hospital. Was that it? Couldn't tell if I was one place or another. Everything hurt on me...and I mean everything.
I had started to come to my senses in the ambulance. Morgan had tears running down her face. I longed to run my hand through her hair and tell her that everything was gonna be okay, but I was in so much pain...so much. This pain actually had knocked me out.
When next I woke up, Morgan was sitting next to me in a chair and I guessed that I was in the hospital. She reached over and kissed my cheek.
"We've gotta stop meeting like this, babe..." I said softly.
"I know." She said looking down to the ground.
"Are you okay?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Talking was taking a toll on my neck.
"Yea. Just pissed at Matt and Eric." Morgan told me.
"I'm sorry baby..." I said, grabbing her hand softly. "Did he touch you???"
"No." She said shaking her head. I went to sit up, but my midsection smarted with the move.
"Jeff, relax. You're hurt." Morgan told me as she placed her hand on my shoulder.I let out a breath and fell backwards in the bed as the doctor walked in.
"Well...we meet again, Jeffrey," she said smirking.
Morgan and I both looked over at her. Morgan giving her a small grin.
"Sooo...adding neck injury to this list aren't we?" She smiled at us before walking over to the gloves.
"Yea... .I guess so." I said.
"Its okay...you're not the first to injure your neck," she said as she grabbed the gloves from the cabinet. She put them on as she walked over to me.
"I'm just gonna take this off and feel around your neck and you tell me when you feel pain okay, sweetie?" She said sweetly to me."Alright." I told her. She started to feel around my neck and I started flinching. "Ow!" I nearly shouted.
Morgan looked at me with a worried expression.
"Okay..." she said, taking off her gloves. "Seems to be the most painful around your neck. Does anything else hurt?"
"Everywhere kinda hurts...."
"Well...that's definitely not good...tell me how this happened while I feel around on you, okay?"
"Okay." I started. "Well, I was piledrived off of the ring and through a table, onto the floor."
"They are aware of your leg injury correct??" she said, stopping her motions right as she got to my leg.
"Well....I was cleared to compete." I told her.
"That's ridiculous..." she said, rolling her eyes. "You shouldn't be wrestling with this injury."
"That's what the medics told him." Morgan added.
"Well...you're definitely not wrestling for a while imma tell you that right now," she said sternly.
"Damn." I said closing my eyes. That's what I didn't want to hear.
"Sorry..." she said. "I mean...I'm not telling you your career is over..."
