After a while, Alex found enough strength to get up and out of the tent. Regi then gave everyone a mandatory checkup. I learned something really interesting in mine...

Alex still seems a bit down though. What happened with Delves must have really hurt him... even though I thought he came to terms with it. But death... is still death...

I have been helping one of the other girls in the group pack a few backpacks. She's a nice person though, or at least she looks like one. She is wearing standard cargo pants, a white school outfit tucked in and a small medical cap on her head, short blond hair with blue eyes. She actually looks cute, I guess. But she really hasn't said much; just focused on her work. Though she did say her name was Ricka.

Willis and Regi had decided it was time to start going. So now all the soldier-class students are gearing up near the supply pile. Alex is waiting around for his turn. Wonder what's on his mind? Hmmm. He must have taken it hard... maybe I could make him feel better... somehow.

I almost forgot about what I am supposed to be doing and knocked over the bag I was filling with a few cans of food and ammo as its contents spilled back onto the snow.

No! Why did I do that? Now she has to do it all over again.

*Sigh*...

I picked up the cans and stuffed them back into the bag. Why did Willis decide that the nurses, medics, and radiomen have to stuff the bags? I looked around at the other medics. Most of them are guys...

I looked back at the bag in front of me and grabbed the cartages of ammo that fell into the snow and threw them in the bag with the cans. I don't really want to do this, but at least I am helping out...

I looked around to see if I could find something to amuse myself with while I pack the bags.

The only things of interest is everyone dressed in thick coats or uniforms...

The sounds of guns clanking together and talking are really the only other noises, other than the occasional bird or the waves. The water in the ocean just rolls in and out in an endless cycle of waves. There really is nothing at all that can get rid of how bored I am... or my worries.

Someone tapped me on the shoulder.

I turned around to see Alex wearing a black winter coat with four pockets and a collar, and his grey cap from the Academy that makes him look... well actually he looks kinda cute, in his own kind of way.

"How do I look?"

I smiled at him. Which seemed to be enough of an answer as Alex smiled back. Regi walked from behind him and patted him on the back. "Well. You look nice, don't you? Not the best, but as long as you don't try to freeze yourself again I think you'll be fine!"

Alex stared at him blankly. Regi looked at Alex eye to eye for a few seconds before he stepped to the side. Regi put his hand behind his back and looked at me.

"Well, I just need to know if you'll need a new jacket."

I held tighter on Alex's jacket. I almost forgot that I'm still wearing it. "No, I'll be fine with this."

Regi looked at me a bit confused as he asked again,

"You sure? Just your camo pants and that jacket don't look so warm. Especially since-"

I stared at him hard. Hard enough to make him stop in his sentence and walk away.

Regi sighed,

"Whatever you say."

Alex looked at me confused but asked me,

"What did he-"

I giggled and winked at him,

"It's nothing."

Alex still looks confused. Someone called for him from somewhere as he went to go see what they wanted.

Wasn't that close. He almost found out. Why Regi asked me about-no I shouldn't think about it right now. Though... I'll have to tell Alex eventually. But, I will wait until everything calms down...

I got back to my work as I put the last cartridge of ammo in the bag I had to fill, zipped it up and left it where it was.

I stood up and walked around to find something else to do. I stopped to think. Where are we even going? What if I meet up with that man again? The one who told me I don't exist. That Alex didn't exist. Why am I even thinking about this now?! No, we won't meet him... We don't even know where we are, and I am sure the man probably doesn't either...
