I opened my eyes. I can feel my body being shook by someone. It's a little blurry, but I can make out two figures. Wait... I can see better now. One of them is wearing a camo jacket. The other has only a white workout shirt. Kairi?
I squinted my eyes. Everything's spinning inside of my head. I came to be realized Kairi and Nattily are right over me. Kairi is shaking me to hell. I sat up, using my hands. I pushed off the floor, and grabbed my throbbing head. Why the hell happened that I... What was I doing before-
Willis! Where's Willis?!
I stood up, Kairi still kneeling on the floor. Nattily put a hand on my shoulder.
"What happened? Alex, where's Willis?!"
I can't answer. I turned around to see a doorway. It wasn't there before..?! I was right in front of the fountain. The room is still as dark as when I first came in. I hurried my way to the other door, Nat and Kairi ran up behind me and kept asking,
"What happened, what's wrong?"
"We have to hurry. We have to keep going..."
We passed into a new room; into a strait hallway that leads down into another room. The floor has red carpet. The walls a bright white color. I can hardly even look at it.
I urged on, through the long stretch of room. Kairi and Nattily won't stop asking me what I was doing. But it would take too much time. We have to get going now! Just a few more steps till we get out. Five, four, three, two, one...
I stepped out into the next room. Its a huge space, but nothing is inside. Everything is a metal, grayish color. Except it has a dark feel to it. As I looked around, I saw there is a wall that goes up halfway up the height of the room, and then flatten out to a sort of second floor with no railings or stairs to it, to the left to side of the room.
On the surface of the incline, stood the man, Kairi's esteemed uncle next to a few other hooded figures. The spider at his side with Willis hanging in midair as the tubes from the spider sucked more blood out of him. I can't just watch Willis dangle there... motionless.
I have to do something...
"Willis! Willis!"
I called to him. Willis stayed silent. Why is he doing that?! He can't be dead he can't-
I heard the man start laughing. Like a hyaena. Loud and demonic. I feel like he knew this was going to happen..! But that's impossible!
The man stopped himself so he could talk,
"You think it would be that easy to get out, Alex? My plan is going perfect! The war will happen again, and this time the outcome will be different! This time the world will be made the way I want it. Now everyone will come home... everyone will forgive me. I am a hero Alex. Because a hero is someone who will follow what they believe and protect what they fight for, even to their very death! I consider you to be such a hero. And that is why you will have your chance to stop me! But didn't you wonder, why there were no guards, why everyone escaped so easily, how I knew you would be here?! It was so you can lead your destiny! You are part of my plan! You will help me make my world come true!"
The man's eyes widened as he said what he wanted to say. He smirked widely, his teeth gleamed, perfectly white. With a sadistic stare, he patted the metal spiders back. He laughed so calmly that it was as if he didn't care! How dare you!
"You... you bastard!"
I yelled at him, at the top of my lungs. I looked behind me to see Kairi and Nattily right behind me. I can see in Kairi's eyes, how frightened she is. She stood close to me. Nattily, is speechless. Her hands are shaking, even her legs are rattleing. She sat in the corner, shaking her head over and over again.
I looked back at the man, who looked towards us. With his hand, he held it out to bow. Before he snickered.
"Ah, Kairi. My niece. Don't you want to live? Go on with your life, with Alex. Finally settle down- especially now, that your partners-"
Kairi yelled back at him,
"Shut up! Shut up already! Why are you so cruel?! You can't be my uncle. You are no angel! You can't be!"
Kairi held onto me. I felt her arms wrap around my waist as she squeezed me tightly.
The man shook his head. He raised his hand out to us and calmly answered back.
"Oh, how right you are, my dear little girl. I am no angel. I lost that title long, long ago. I am a fallen. I have fallen. I AM A FALLEN ANGEL! But I am still your uncle! And you, have the blood of darkness in you, you have the blood of death! Your mother and father were both the side of darkness! Do you realize what they represented, what that means?!!! You are their child, and I am your uncle! Whether you like it or not! Let me show you!"
Wings sprouted out of his back, black feathers flew everywhere as they gently floated to the ground. Two giant wings that resembled those of an eagles, both almost his entire length, sprouted from his back. All the way down to the floor, where the wings thinned out into a short point. Tufts of feathers put together, some slowly falling off, all a dark black color. So dark that it was as if they were shadows, only dark shadows that covered all the light, inking everywhere as more feathers fell off. Yet it doesn't even seem to take away anything from them at all.
He laughed even harder. I looked behind me to see Kairi. She didn't look at him; she kept her head down as she held me tighter around the waist. Nattily is on the floor, her hands over her head as she mumbled something over and over. Willis started to talk.
"Whether you are an angel... or not, you can still die! I've got... nothing out there for me, nor can I... ever hope to provide for my daughter on my own. Without my partner, I'm nothing... please; just go rot in hell where you should be already! Isn't that where you should be...!? Huh? Fallen Angel? You killed my partner... and that's why... I am going to kill you!"
The man turned to where his machine was.
I turned towards Willis, still being sucked dry by the spider. The spider made more clicking noises. Willis slowly rose up his hand. He grabbed something from his shirt pocket, and with what little strength he had, he turned towards us. He is pale. Blood running out of his mouth and with his last words, he told us,
"Get going. All of you. Alex... just promise to take good care of Celia, for me... tell her... tell her daddies sorry. That I never came home. And, don't forget Alex, don't be afraid to die for those you love. Your brother knew that, and so do I. Don't forget me, alright?!"
Willis gagged, before he cleared his throat and said,
"... I... I'm coming home... Celina..."
I felt someone pull me away as I stared at Willis; he clicked the object in his hand. I tried running to him. With all I could I tried to force myself forward. I want to, no, I need to do something! He can't die!
For a few seconds, there wasn't any sound. There wasn't any noise, I watched as Willis smiled and mouthed 'Goodbye'. It was like time itself had frozen. To remind me that I am useless, unable to protect anyone. Then everything snapped back into reality. I saw a door shut in front of me. A huge explosion shook the ground and blasted my eardrums. I can only hear a loud high pitch ring. I slammed a hand against the door. Willis... Willis is... dead! He's dead! WILLIS!!!!
