This ship is such a damn waste! Seriously, not one person here is a soldier! The thing is, the irony, is that the world has been in peace for so damn long that everyone forgot how to fight, what a f___ing war is! But, who knows, maybe the people on this war-ship, can surprise me. Although, this place has been such a bore to me, and after the jeep had let us off, well... Evan, er, 'Evangeline', had took off running aboard the ship. But hell, I had her for my own, even if only for a while, for now, at least. She'll be mine eventually, and the world will be the way I see it! But, I would never have thought like this, hell, I wouldn't even be able to talk to a girl the way I did! If it wasn't for something inside of me... just snapping in half! After I had that talk with the robot thing I buried, the new mystery man, and all these wack events just going on all around me, I changed. That's just it. I changed. But change is good. Oh, change is very good.
I stood up from my bed in my new "quarters" aboard ship. I checked the watch I had brought with me... it's been about five or six hours since everyone boarded ship. Should be dark out by now. Damn. Time flies, doesn't it? Well, I better go find something to do.
I walked over to heh door and left the room. I looked around the hallway to see no one around. It would be ideal if I could just be left alone for a while, but, I wouldn't mind meeting that girl again...
I shut the door behind him as I walked through the strangely decorated hallway of the ship. It looks like a hotel almost... Guess it really was an old museum piece. But, it 'is' fully functional. Or at least it better be. Seriously, does a warship, look like a hotel on the inside?! It doesn't!
I walked down the empty hallway, and eventually ran into two doors with the word 'Lounge' over it in bold lettering. I wonder what's going on in there.
I pushed open the doors to see a bunch of classmates dancing around a stage like thing to the right of the room. There is a band playing some sort of music. They sound like really old songs. I could hear some of the words:
"Hello my name is Olly, can I tell you baby? Look around, there's a whole lot of other pretty ladies! But unlike you, you shine so bright! I was justa wondering if you and me could spare a minute. on the floor lost, just getting lost on it! I wont give up without a fight! I just wanna, Ooohooo! Come on baby! I just want you to dance with me tonight!"
It has a really upbeat tune behind it. I stood in the doorway as the rest of the song continued carelessly; despite the fact of where they are. Hmph... I should just leave them to be oblivious to their utter doom. I would usually have liked this kind of music, but right now it's just annoying the living f__k out of me.
I looked at the students dancing. Alex and his 'parter' are dancing right next to the stage. Both of them are laughing with a smile on their faces. They are looking at each other so... so... They just look happy...
"Hmp! I am not going to stand here and listen to such an old and outdated song!"
I said in a whisper to myself as I turned back around and left through the doors. The music stopped as soon as the doors closed behind me. Hurriedly, I walked through the hallway.
How pathetic am I? I still can't muster the courage to talk to Alex. But, I just can't! Not while he's with her!
Just like her, someone who showed up a few days ago, to take away my friend! One of the only people who cared about me, whether or not if I was just a 'Friend'! Damn her!
I rushed my way through the hallway, a stomp with each step. I pushed open a metal door I found on the side of the hallway quickly as I heard voices behind me. Their footsteps grew louder as they got closer. I closed the door just enough so I could barely see into the hallway.
